You know... looking around on this site at these messages in this particular forum, it really upsets me. I'm really shocked at just how many dealerships are jacking up prices...
I'd really like to hear from people who HAVEN'T paid a markup on their cars...
I for one got my car from Schumacher Buick-Pontiac-GMC. I could not be happier. I didn't pay ANY dealer markup at all... they sold the car to me for MSRP. I'm not saying this to brag, but I would really like to see if there are quite a few more people who only paid MSRP, or if I'm extremely lucky.
As it is... since that dealership was soo good to me, I will go to them for my next car.

Same thing for me. My dealer sold me my car at MSRP and did not even require a deposit when I placed the order. I've purchased a lot of vehicles from them in the past, and from this you can see why. Great people, great prices, great service. What more can you ask for?

We got ours for MSRP! Had to go out of State to get that price because all the Vegas dealers were adding a mark-up.

We paid msrp. And no, we never had anything in writing saying msrp, but our salesman is a great guy. My parents went to him for 2 vehicles while we were waiting for our sol. Arnold Palmer Motors was great to us and they still are.
I consider myself lucky and had the foresight to get in early. I knew that if I didn't, I would be left out in the cold. I placed my order April 16th, the Saturday after "The Apprentice" at the only Pontiac dealer in Anniston, AL. They quoted me MSRP and gave it to me on a Bill of Sale form after I gave them a $500 refundable deposit. Never once did they try to scam me. True, they would only listen to what GM told them, but I understand that. My car arrived Oct. 14th. I took delivery the following Monday, Oct. 17th. Paid MSRP. All the salesmen, the two Sales Managers and the Owner were there to shake my hand after I signed the papers.
I would definitely buy there again.

I don't know how long this thread will last unedited by the mods, but I have to say my dealer was awesome. They offered me warranty and insurance, but acted like they didn't care if I took it or not, unlike most dealerships that try to cram that extra stuff down your throat.
I had one on order, got a call one was coming in soon and buyer had backed out, did I want it? HECK YES!
STILL only paid msrp.
They are in Dallas proper, near Love field. But because of their good reputation, they have a long list. I was 49th. Thank goodness my salesman was quicker on the phone than the others!
I paid $14,000 over sticker. I didn't know the price was in canadian dollars, and paid in US dollars, man I got burned
THAT was a joke
Mod Note: The question is who paid over msrp? Please let's not have this turn into a "good dealer list" - just say you had a positive experience, and leave the dealer names out please. Seems like a grey area issue, but if a lot of dealer names show up, then it will likely be viewed as a good dealer thread.
THANKS!

Ordered 10/5 after seeing one at a local historic auto show (well, I guess they're thinking ahead). $1000 down, MSRP - never even talked about price with the nice people at Union Pontiac. Delivered 12/19. Didn't even know about the price increase until I read it here.
