Years later I finally got my solstice.

Ever since they announced the Solstice in 05' I have been waiting until the time was right to get a used one. I almost bought a base model a year ago but hesitated when the reviews of the GXP came out. Then I decided to wait until a used GXP would within my price range. I can't tell you how agonizing that was. I live in Los Angeles but when I saw one in San Francisco over the internet on the day of the Summer Solstice that fit the bill I hopped a plane that morning, test drove it, bought it and spent the rest of the day driving the length of California. Here it is and I'm still grinning from ear to ear.

Congrats & enjoy. I've always loved the Deep, it just wasn't in the cards for me at the time I was buying.

Congrats! I know you're gonna love the ride.

BTW, where abouts in L.A. do you live? Are you close to Orange County?

Congrats. I waited a year on mine, but that was because of the downpayment. The car is a joy to drive, I'm sure you'll love it. Seems most Sols are low miles, so the 'used car' shouldn't feel used at all

Thank you for the warm welcome. It's great to finally be part of the Solstice community. To "Sieze the Day", I'm up in the Malibu area but perhaps we will cross paths at one of the rally/event type thingies. Right now I am compiling and tracking down all the odds and ends that the previous owner lost, like the spare key, front license plate (not that I really want it) and owners manual. Oh yeah, it is a mysterious, even though the photo kinda' makes it look Deep. Thanks again,

Congratulations! I think a lot of us waited impatiently for some time to get our Sol-fix.
Lots of fun to drive, but now the problem is keeping one's foot out of it! Enjoy!
