2008 Grand Prix GXP

I've been driving Pontaic for a long time, but I've never owned a Grand Prix. I saw one for sale and I'm considering it. I'm keeping the Solstice, just need something for a family of 5 to replace the current family truckster wagon.

Would you buy an 08 Grand Prix for your other car?

Grand Prix GXP=WIN!!!!!! I would love one of those and if I ever get married I would consider one of these for my wife. 5.3 liter V8, displacement on demand, beautiful cars.

My family vehicle preferences trend a little larger. A Torrent GXP would be of more interest to this family of four.

That said........

The Grand Prix GXP drives wonderfully. I always thought the Supercharged 3800, was a good performer in that body, but the V8 is such a better experience.

Go for it.

If buying from a dealership, make sure you have good rubber all around. Perhaps you can work the deal for a new set of tires. The GXP tires are non-rotational, and wear a littel faster than others.

Also like all W-Bodies, the brakes can go bad fast if the car has been sitting.

This has been so much fun, think I will take the Grand Prix GXP off the lot for some exercise this week end. Thanks.

We have an 08 grand prix GXP and love it. I run different size wheels and tires for winter use here in Mn. It is really a fun car to drive. On the highway with the active fuel managment system we will get around 28 to29 mpg. The same enjine in my truck gets 18mpg. Should be some good buys on these cars. Check out Club Grand Prix!
