That is truly ugly.
Very disappointing, inside and out. -Lumix
Formula for instant death in the automotive market place
1. Take cool concept in looks and technology and show it on autoshow circuit.
2. Create buzz for concept by saying we'll release it in 2-3 years.
3. Increase buzz for concept by continuing to suggest the production version will look essentiall ythe same as the cool concept version--inside and out.
4. Water down production version, change interior, change wheel well openings, copy the Honda Civic and Prius hybrid looks which are generic and ugly.
5. Guarantee failure at launch.
GM is done. Cooked. Their bean counters are the worst on the planet.

That was the unanimous thought at the office when I showed those pictures today. The news reports from this morning were already mentioning that the Volt waiting lists are almost empty now. What a way to commit suicide.
I love the looks of the car. But I would get a darker colour. Wonder if they will offer it in Deep!

Don't know what else to say.
When you're right...you're right!
GM is utterly freakin' clueless. -Lumix
It sure looks like they partner with Honda, cuz like jinsoku3g said it sure looks as wack as a civic.
GM Just give me a V8, RWD, Big Body Impala SS.

I kind of like it. I wonder if they'll ever put a V6-olt in it?
I bet id sell like hot cakes if they did.:
Hey, what’s life without a little hummer anyway?
Yeah, I know you mean humor, but your chances of getting a V-6 in a Corvette and a Sol as well as a Volt just improved. The new ownership after the death of the company we knew as GM is sure in invest in V-6 powerplants in chassis designed for I-4 and V-8 and electrics. You just save your money, OK...

Of all the faults, I think the marketing folks at GM should take the most blame...
Whoever thought it was a good idea to try to sell cars using photos of old guys rather than hot women should be sent to the basement and forced to sort mail forever.

Another design straight out of the aerodynamics lab, via the beancounters. Sure glad the Solstice held true to concept. Thanks, Lutz, for doing our cars right.

Jeez. You guys are all pretty harsh. Did you honestly think they would have keep the concept lines. That thing was totally unaerodynamic. They still kept the fog features, Mirror features, rims, rear tails. The updated the grill is to bring it the new chevy style. I felt the old one was too small anyways. Im sad to see the interior go as the concept interior was awesome, but they still kept the swept edges off the dash and the IP is freakin awesome. Im doubtful of the center console because of the lack of feedback the system provides but other than that I think it looks great. Ill be getting mine in black or gunetal i available.
Im still in line for one. I probably wont be out of my solstice loan for the first year but Im planning on picking up a second year model for my DD.
