Well after a local car show today we all decided to go and eat on SOnic. Well someone told me a rumor about this car being bought locally. I was like yeah right. But sure enough the guy came by and we waived him in and he was proud to show us his... SRT 8 Dodge Challenger!! Yup this is real. And I didn't know they were out already. But here are some of my camera shots. This thing was loaded. And he said he paid double MSR to get it and override this list. Don't know if that is true. But none of my business. He did say he is getting some special custom made rims coming from california for it. But very nice guy! Enjoy!

cool, where i live there are 2 in town. someone owns one the other is sitting at the dealership. i stoppped and looked at and it reminds of a 1970 so much. the sticker is $41,000 with a dealer mark-up of another $20,000. told the wife i couldn't buy one cause it would cost me another $10,000 to have it painted plum crazy purple with white RT stripes

Have seen trailer loads of them being shipped down the 401, being built at the Bramalea plant I think.

Saw one with a manufacturer plate about 1 month ago....SWEET

Limited production this year so I guess that is why he may have paid so much.....

I think the first ones were suppose to be out around 5/21 ....I checked out the dodgechallenger forum....I had some trouble with registration and logging on,,,there moderators ARE NOT very responsive....

They're almost everywhere around MI now for a few months. From what I've heard they released some SRT-8 ones and the rest go on sale in July. I've actually messed with a orange one on Woodward and I must say they are pretty stout.

Yeah some journalist had one they where test driving and they brought it by a local car show a few months back. Needless to say everyone ran to stand around it. Last time I saw that was when someone brought a bugati veyron.

I think that they are only available in Silver, Black and that Orange right now on the SRT-8's.
The dealer markup is crazy on these. With gas heading upwards, I wouldn't doubt that within 2 years you'll be able to buy one of these brand new still sitting on the lot for just the amount of the Markup...$20k
