With the GM Employee discount coming to and end has anyone thought about trading their Solstice in on a 2008 new Vette? There are some good discounts off MSRP price now until the end of the month on the 2008 Vettes. As much as $10,000 off and more on some well equipped models. I am seriously thinking about it now. I love my GXP but I always loved the Vette and the sound of the V8 engine. I am going to make a decission in the next few days for sure. I'm just not sure where the future of the Vette holding it's value as it tradionally does is heading with the gas prices and uncertain economy. Has anyone thought of trading now with the discounts or already traded?

Do it, the Vette has all the positives of the SOL with 170 more horsepower and about the same mileage. It handles better, stops faster, and is much much quicker!

Congrats. I really like the Vette, but I think I'd rather have 2 Sols(or a Sol and a Sky) for the price of a Corvette. I used to really want a Corvette, but I'm totally satisfied with my GXP.

Sorry for the delay getting the pics. These were taken with my cell phone camera so they are not the greatest. 2008 Victory Red. LS3 engine 430 HP with the dual mode exhaust adds another 6 HP. Loaded except Navigation. It is an awesome car!!!!

Oh, no it's not the Z51 Suspension. It has the dual magnetic ride for "sport" or "touring."
Also has the full power top.

I still have my "GXP TURBO" license plate that I am running on the Vette now until I can think of a good vanity name plate for the vette. Any suggestions??? I'm not good at trying to think of names. I want to stay away from using the word Vette on the plate. I thought maybe something to do with the engine size (430HP) or the model (C6) or the engine class (LS3). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
