Of course I am going to have to do part of the trip by boat as they have yet to build that bridge. But before we meet in Kansas City I will drive the "Going to the Sun Highway" over Logan Pass in Glacier National Park and then when "Big Red", she will have that 300HP sex change operation before we put her on the boat for Maui, so she won't be little red any more. But I digress. When we get home to Maui we will go for that most famous of all rides "The Road to Hanna". Pictures this fall everyone.

What are some of your favorite routes for cruising?

Nice straight ones with plenty of people watchers (we like to be noticed, right?)
Or twisty-turnies through the woods/mountains?

And where do you go for these?

I'd especially like to hear from SE-Michiganders.

Abbie's starting to get restless...

I like the slow cruise around a large park and lake we have here. Beautiful scenery worthy of the slow ride.

You should join us next Saturday for our daylong cruise of Door County, Wisconsin. 160 +- miles of twisty roads off the beaten path with wonderful photo ops.

Hey Dreamer - try Clarkston road from Lapeer road all the way to Clarkston. Have a meal at the Clarkston Union (best food around) and then go back. This is a real twisty.

The Blue Ridge Parkway, headed north out of Ashville, NC....

Bar none, one of the best around.

Sounds like a fun Sunday Afternoon drive.

I'll take your word for the food.

Will it be worth the 25 miles from my place to get to Lapeer and Clarkston? And then the 10 mile trip down Clarkston?

If you want a twisty with lakes and woods and beautiful homes, this is it. My little car club did this two weeks ago and the route and the food got high marks. Hey, driving your aggressive sol 25 miles anywhere is worth the drive
