Coolest car I ever had was a 1964 Impala SS 409/425 hp.
Yep - I had a '64 Impala SS and it was awesome. It had a 4 on the floor and we installed cruise control . . . when we would hit resume, it would throw you back in the seat and lay rubber! I loved it!!
8) 1972 Special construction, High jumper strait rail dune buggy with a “63” Olds
215 cid V8 (street legal).
Hey that's kewl! I just sold my 1973 Vega that had the Buick version of that motor. Aluminum heads and block. Mine was from a '61 Buick Special. Kenny Bell 2A race cam with Rhodes lifters to tame it down under 3K R's. Dual 2bbl rodchester NA made it good for about 250 Hp. Sure was a 5.0 liter eater at 2800 lbs. I still have at least 6 sets of heads and two extra blocks for the 215 lying around too.
All GM. My dad works there, have to support the brand.
