This is a public poll (others will see your response) to determine how widespread the issue is with dealer damage during service related to improper jacking techniques. If your car was damaged, comment on how long you were with out your car during repairs.
Link to the proper lifting instructions. Solstice Jack and lifting points
ADDED NOTES: Please restrict your response to Solstice only for this issue, even if you own a Sky that has been damaged as that issue can be addressed elsewhere. And this is restricted to damage occuring during service.
Damaged parts listed in poll are not all that may have received damage so include yourself, for example, if front fenders were damaged.
Be honest and do not report damage you inflicted yourself due to your own jacking procedures or from everyday driving.

My car was previously serviced 3 times where the service department used the proper lifts, then caused the damage on the 4th. Renee is currently being repaired. Time gone is 3 days now, I will update the length when she is home and the status of the repairs.
Back in '05, someone posted the Service Bulletin on this. I was naive during my first couple visits, and when I noticed damage after one visit to the shop, it was exactly as explained. Since then, I keep a printout of that SB with my owners manual and mention it whenever I drop it off at the dealership. I keep hearing, "We know now," but knowing turnover in dealership service departments, I think I'll keep reminding them.
I brought my car in for its first oil change, and they used what they said was " the wrong lift." The arms were the wrong size and thus, it caused a stress dent in the quarter-panel. My claims adjuster found there to be no frame damage. They fixed it for me, it took three weeks in Summer to do it. They gave me a Nissan Sentra, while there were rental Miatas there. I never went back. They were arrogant in their apology and expressed that I should not be upset since they were covering the cost of my loaner. I called Pontiac Customer Service and they gave me a GMPP for two years of free scheduled maintenance to shut me up.

I'm curious as to if anyone might have pictures of damage caused by improper lifting. The link in your above post doesn't work for me.
I have gouges in both door wells... kinda looks like claw scratches 3 or 4 of them on each side about 1/4 in wide. I will have to go home and take some pictures to post. These were there before I had my first service. So, it was either done in the factory or upon delivery.

I might add that if you had damage and are going to take the time to post about it that if there are pictures of the damage that you link those in for other folks who might be interested in those things ... Also not sure about forum policies but the dealer where the damage happened. Might help along with some of the background like they told you about the damage or you had to identify it to them and if they are now aware or if you have stopped using them because they don't or did not seem to get it.

I have been lucky no damage, and the place that changes my oil and put on my exhaust will only lift it on the alignment rack (tires are on lift) no contact with frame, although they did lift my NA with no damage.

same...my car is driven onto a full lift each time.
(I do the tire rotation at home)
I have a 3.5" jack and use a flat piece of 1 x 6 wood over the lifting circle
I position it at the foam spots and inside the quarter panel
if any crimping is done it is my own fault.
all service at my dealership is done with all feet touching the lift.
