Not sure what you mean by this???? There are areas of velcro that you can adjust to help with some of the wrinkles.

Lack of door lock switch.
Placement of airbag light.
Need for smoother shifter linkage.
Let the Ecotech reach it's full potential, unleash the software.
Needs to have power seats as an option.
Hard to reach seatbelts
Lack of interior storage space for items such as sunglasses, cell phones
Flimsy, poorly placed cupholders
Dim indicater lights and stereo light not visible in sunlight.

The List above is more annoyance than anything. The car is beautiful, the lines and curves of this car had me from the first time I saw it. I truly believe, that as this car matures the above will be corrected by Pontiac and it will beome the truly great car it is destined to be. The paint, and alignment is excellent on my car, The roof does get the wrinkles around the buttresses. As far as performance I am normally a V-8 guy, but I was more than surprised as to the performance of the stock Ecotec 4 cylinder and am sure from all I have read that there is plenty of potential to be unleashed. I have had to have the differential seal replaced as have several others on this forum, but this was also more of an annoyance than anything else , that’s what warranty is for.

Driver's side chair squeaks ALL THE TIME!! Over every little bump.
Seat is losing its "shape" and it feels like its sinking.
Lack of power.
The infamous clunk.

I really do love my car.....

Things I dont like about the Solstice I love:
  • Needs seat height control (manual please).
  • Cup Holders
  • Storage bin for phone, glasses, change, etc
  • Driver's side seat latch broken upon delivery
  • Seat belts hard to reach
  • Airbag light in bad place (and doesn't recognize my 110lb girlfriend, what is the weight limit?)
  • A crossbar in the top popped its nut and my car leaked until I popped it back on. Needs permanant fix.
  • Window controls in bad place, move forward 6 inches
  • NO DOOR LOCK CONTROLS!?!?! Also- automatic door locks cannot be disabled? What? What? Seriously? I've sold cars for lesser offences.
That said, the styling makes up for all of it, and I still love Maybe.

I can possibly help with these two:

- I have the Kappasphere "Seat Belt Extenders" and they really do help. The seatbelt is always there in the same place and never falls behind the seat.

- My wife weighs about the same as your girlfriend and sometimes the light doesn't come on for her either. In another thread somewhere, I read that the weight limit is 65 lbs (I think) but that HOW you sit on the seat can affect recognition that there is a passenger. We have found this to be true - sitting to one side or the other of the seat does affect recognition.

1. window switch placement- the switches might be better in the center console
2. paint- could use more clearcoat or better quality paint
3. cupholders could be improved
4. power antenna would be a nice touch

1. Lack of power lock controls.
2. Placement of power window controls. Maybe fit them on the center console or dash.
3. Either harness the true potential of the 2.4l Ecotech, or offer a few engine options that include performance upgrades (not just the GPX) Maybe eventually go with a 6 cylinder like the G6 GXP model unveiled at the NY auto show !
4. Get rid of the "honeycomb" rear fascia and replace it with a solid one. All it does is collect dirt and is difficult to keep clean.
5. Near-useless cup holders - not deep enough and do not accomodate various sized containers. Too easy for drinks to fall out when I get on it !
6. Arm rests on the doors need cushions.
7. Seat belts are hard to retrieve. Should come stock with extenders.
8. Stereo display and digital instrument readout are virtually impossible to see in sunlight. Not sure how to fix this one.
9. The stock antenna is ridiculously long, and extends too far above the car. It just looks out of place on this sleek beauty. Perhaps they could replace it with a shorter version or a stubby. My stubby looks great, and looks like it belongs on the car !
10. Would like to see the brake calipers come pre-painted with the logos like the GTO's do ! Perhaps this along with some of the other things I've mentioned could come as options or upgrades ???

Repairs:
  1. REAR DIFF!!! (Replaced first, second has started to whine)
  2. A/C, one compressor replaced and in again for pipe rattle per TSB
  3. New top on order, as current one is fraying around the rear window
  4. Trunk leak fixed with realignment
  5. Radio pop, took 2x to get this right
  6. Paint has an imperfection which I haven't pointed out yet

UPDATE: Yesterday I filled up with gas, my fuel door won't close all the way

Other issues:
  1. Poor paint quality, lots of chipping
  2. Seat leather is starting to sag
  3. WAY underpowered, wish I had waited for the GXP
