Probably because this thread started on 05-27-2006, and Wind_Restrictor didn't become a member until 07-13-2006. Now, onto more important matters: Chicken/Egg...your take?
Ok, no prob! Didn't know, it just looked uneven since there wasn't even an "Other" option on the poll...

I passed 120mph with my top down and my windows and windscreen up - no problemo. I've yet to top out my car with or with out the "premium acoutic headliner" visible.

Yeah it seems to me I can't hit that rev limiter for some reason. After my next mods though there should be no problem at all. Can you say 140??

I bought a smoke tint kappashield from windblox on ebay, and expecting it to arrive tomorrow. Not yet convinced of how much difference it'll make, but it compliments the Sol's contours, I think.
My lil' N/a can only say 120. Maybe after the retune a few more but it has no power up there
CALL THE THREAD POLICE!!!!

I have been emailing the person who makes the Illuminated Windscreen that is listed on Ebay. Found out he is in Dallas - I will be in Dallas next month - I will be going by his shop to take a close look at his windscreens. If they look good I will bring one home with me.
Hey, can anyone tell me how to get in contact with the person who makes this windscreen? I could not fine it on ebay. I want one for my brand new gorgeous 2007 Sly Solstice --- totally loaded, just missing a windscreen.nevermind, I found that link for it> lol

I have the WindRestrictor and there are so many great versions that it's hard to choose. I think there is a difference with it (wind reduction), but the look is a great reason to have one.
Sorry you missed this version in your poll.

I purchased one of the Jay Windscreens off E-bay and when I got it it had a chrome piece of rubber door edge molding over the top of it, I did not know it had this when I placed the order and I thought it looked real tacky and when I removed it I realized that the reason the guy put these on there is to cover up the ruff edges along the top. It had to have been cut out with a jig saw from a template or something because the left side was not the same as the right side. Also he should include some longer screws with it because using my factory screws to mount it they were not long enough due to the think ness of the windscreen. I did not think it was worth 80.00! Actually I didn't even want it on my beautiful car. So....
I bought a Jay Senoff windscreen recently and I think he must have made some improvements over the version this forum member got last year. There was no molding on the edges and they were quite smooth and trimmed. It installed in about 2 minutes using the factory screws...no problems there and I am able to leave it in with the top up....the main reason I didn't go with the kappasphere as originally planned plus it was cheaper. It didn't come with a handy-dandy slip case but then again..don't need it cuz it stays ON. It would be easy to take off if needed and could always be put in a cloth bag or pillowcase for storage. The jury is out as far as if these things really block that much wind. I have long hair and the only real way to keep it from blowing in my face is to tie it up anyway. I used some of the money saved to go towards my weathershield cover which is awesome, BTW...
I have the WindRestrictor V1 and I love it. I installed it the day it came in the mail and have had it up ever since. There's no problem leaving it installed with the top up. The GXP which is etched into the windrestrictor looks awesome with the top up or down.
