Thought I'd try an unscientific poll regarding your windscreen purchase ... or not!

First off let me say that this is the 1st convertible I have ever owned - so cabin turbulence to me is not comparable.
My reasoning behind buying a KappaShield vs GM's:
1. Looks - The KappaShield's design is so in tune with the Solstice's style. Where the GM shield may be functional but IMO its big, bold, and ugly.
2. Costs - 1:3
3. Application of decals - I can add my own personal *flair* to the KappaShield. Try that on the GM shield.
4. Reduction of wind - well here I have no comparison of the two shields. But I do know that with the KappaShield in place I have been able to run top down in temps that I otherwise would not have.

We've moved this poll to the general tech section for a little while to allow Stang's next solstice color to be on the front page for a little while longer (it had only been on the front page for somewhat less than a week.
After the weekend, we'll move it back to the Polls section, and it will re-appear on the front page.
In the mean time, it doesn't hurt to keep voting and posting to it right where it is.
I bought the Kappashield because I think it matches the lines of the Sol much better than the GM shield. It also stows away into a VERY small space and we all know how much extra space we have to waste in the trunk .

Mine came with the GM windscreen, already drilled :-(
well I loved the car too much to not still buy it, so it is what it is...the holes don't bother me anymore and they do blend in (same color for the hole mounts)
I am definitely not a fan of the design, I think it takes away from the car.
When I'm driving to impress I don't put it on (like the first time i show it to someone)
When I drive for function I put it on and it does cut out a noticeable amount of wind (can't really calculate the amount or percentage)

My views exactly.

Umm... I bought the "other" windscreen and it's been permanently mounted since I bought it 2 months ago. It also works with the top up and no need to uninstall it
