The GM is literally a screen, it doesn't look sporty, looks like an after thought. I never tried to put the top up with it installed. It does work well at highway speeds. I used it very effectively to keep our dog from jumping up on the rear deck. (She rides on a shelf behind the seats in our truck, and wants to ride there in the car).
The Windrestrictor looks more factory than the GM does IMHO.

Edit: I tried to put the top up with the GM Windscreen in place, the Top hits the windscreen before it makes contact with the windshield frame. So, no, you can't put the top up with the GM Windscreen in place.
