This thread has run its course and I am surprised that it was never brought to a moderator's attention, until now: regardless of whether or not th eindividual starting the therad was on the up and up or could not be trusted as far as anyone could throw their own car, it was in fact a simple for sale thread and so fall under the following guidelines.

alpinetek has way too much patience waiting on either goods or return of cash. He may in fact have been ripped off big time. But others heed the warning found within. Long range transactions can be dangerous. Don't send money to someone you don't know unless you can afford to be out that money. Ask that any seller sign themselves up to accept paypal (gives buyer some methods of recovery)
