If you are going to tune the ECM, MANUAL will work also. Most Tuners will install the most current stock information from GM via your vin# which will include your AUTO trans. and work from there.

I spotted one on Ebay this morning at $52. Make sure it's an OEM or a Bosch.

PAW (a vendor here) has a sale on new units right now if you want new. I myself have lucked out with ECUs on eBay, but I've heard of enough folks getting paperweights. Best to look for a "DOA return clause" if you go that route...
