We did fine without GPS for 4 years already. Most early RC's relied on memory...VISUALS... and written instructions too. Given that I also want any readers to be aware of the following

Owning a GPS is NOT a criteria for being an RC or attending a run.

Being able to download GPS information will be an option- It was never going to be and never will be mandatory.

We can't rely on memory or cognitive ability...last night I put the cat in the fridge and threw my beer out the back door.

Don't worry. When I got up in the morning and went to the door to let the cat in I saw the beers on the lawn and retrieved them and put them in the fridge.......Frisky is really pizzed at me though.

Oh good! I was worried you were dumping out the beers. But you were just putting them outside over night to cool. Good thinking!!! You're saving energy!!!
