A BIG Thanks ......

Looks like I might be the first to arrive home ... helps when you fly.

Wanted to post a BIG thank you John & Carol (aka Whitefang and Lady Fang), as well as the committee members that put on a TERRIFIC North American Solstice Sky Meet 2009.

The view in the area was breathtaking! And the many cruises - through RMNP and surrounding canyons - were awe inspiring.

Additionally .. a thanks to ALL the vendors who participated - you all know just how to 'individualize' our cars! Hope each and everyone of you will be in Canton for 2010!!

Thanks again John and Carol for the vision you had two years ago!!

Oh, but you missed the fun of driving through thunderstorms and hail in Wyoming. No dents, though I will freely admit to telling friends I was hoping for wet weather to learn how to drive properly. Combined with the marathon to go out and back, the low speed switchbacks up Lookout mountain, and the sprints outside Estes, it was a perfect driver's education course. My only desire was for another day to talk with folks and do some shopping (or relax). Very nice job, everyone.

Great job by all, and it was nice to meet new friends, and see old ones again!!

Won't be home till tomorrow, once I pick a route around all the tornado damage that's just east of where I sit tonight.

A big thanks to John, Carol, Rob, and Van for the event and the time and effort they put toward everything. I love going to these things, even if I don't get a chance to go out and enjoy the drives like the old days

Also, a big thanks to all of our customers and friends that make it possible for us to keep coming to these great events no matter where they are. Everyone's patience and company was definitely appreciated as we worked around the weather. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again in Canton!

Well said AR!

I can only begin to imagine all the work that went into putting together an excellent event. A big thank you to John, Carol and the rest of the club for organizing this event.

We came upon the same storm you found last night. Since we were only 90 minutes from home, we checked the weather and decided on a speed run up I35 as the tornado warnings expired. We slipped between storm cells with brief periods of heavy rain.

We got home after 900+ miles and 15 hours on the road. It is good to be home, but the hot muggy weather in Minnesota makes me long for the crisp clear weather we experienced in Colorado.

Again, a big thank you to all who made the 2009 event so special.

Wow! We must have gotten pretty lucky. Managed to stay dry all the way to St. Louis.

A big thanks and from us, too!

Already looking forward to the next one

Nothing but a few light showers coming west on I-70 Now it's clear 92 degree weather here in Moab, UT. Today, Arches and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks, tomorrow rafting with my bride on the Colorado.

Ditto on the THANKS to Whitefang and Lady Fang for a really great event. A really big THANK YOU for Aspenrose for all the work and planning for the P2P cruise. (It is well deserved as as far as I can tell, trying to organize Solstice drivers is kinda like herding cats.) A big THANKS to Nummbers for the Red Rocks Cruise. And finally THANKS to Cpt_kludge for organizing the visit to the Clive Cussler Museum.

It was really good to meet new friends from around the country, and to meet and talk with the vendors I've only read about before.

IMO, NASSM '09 was (and still is) great fun well worth all the expense and 3000+ miles I'll put on Mysti, and I'm ready to do it again.

I want to echo everyone above!

I also want to offer special thanks to Randy @ DDMWorks for diagnosing my throttle body problems so quickly and so well, allowing my wife and I to enjoy Friday and Saturday's runs!

One more BIG round of applause is due to each of the supporting vendors. While I did not buy anything at the meet, I was able to see their wares and make plans for a few future mods.

John and Carol, you did yoemen's work!

Rob, Van, and the rest of the RMSSC, your efforts were WELL appreciated by this Texan and his wife!

To Aspenrose, thanks for good map/turn-by-turn directions/Garmin file that allowed us to run the P2P all by ourselves. (They seemed quite clear to us. )

To those that made Saturday's Lookout Mountain & Red Rocks Run with us, thanks for a great drive! Your attitudes and actions made it a joy to lead.

To NASSOA and GMR, thanks for giving us basis organizations to support our community.

To all Solstice and Sky friends, new and old, thank you for being part of a community that is so welcoming. As has been said about my alma mater (a "little agricultural and mechanical college on the Brazos River" ), "From the inside, it cannot be explained; from the outside, it cannot be understood."

We're still on the road so pics will be posted later....

Big thanks to White Fang and Lady Fang, and everyone who pitched in for a great weekend with lots of Rocky Mountain High moments! We did as many canyons and peaks as we could.

Ditto, I had a great time. To the Texas room, sorry about the grenade incident. Blame it on Ihawk. It was her grenade. Some people had real fear in their eyes! Thats why I threw it to Momssol!

I just got home.

I too want to thank John and Carol and all of the helpers and vendors who attended and made it such a fun meet. The Colorado Rockies are a beautiful venue for this and I really enjoyed the runs and the companionship. You guys are great.

What a blast! And I loved being able to meet up with some of the people that I have missed quite a bit. Boy, we have a great bunch of people.

Thanks for a great, great time.
