Thanks, CanSol. Yes, Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful places on earth! I intend to take my bride (married 04/28/07) to visit there, perhaps this April/May 2008.
I was greatly impressed with the beauty of British Columbia and Alberta. My dad loved his trips to Kamloops in the 50s and 60s, catching those huge salmon.
I hope to see you at the THird North American Solstice Meet in Las Vegas in April 2008.

Well, I left Houston on June 13, 2006, got back home July 5, 2006. I spent 23 days on the road, drove 11,071 miles, burned 442.05 gallons of gasoline which cost $1,424.73.
This was the most wonderful vacation of my life. I saw the most beautiful places in the United States and Canada.
I learned to get off the interstates and see the US, hear the US, even smell the US. The national parks are truly the treasures of our country.
WHAT A RIDE!
.
Great photos, excellent trip.
My trips have all been two wheeled and we avoid the interstate like a plague and generally try not to ride thru any place with a population greater than about 10k so we miss a lot of the sights you see.
It took me three trips to see most of what you saw.
In 2004 we flew to Anchorage, rented bikes and rode them first down to Baanf via the Cassiar and Yellowhead, then back up to Dawson Creek, the entire length of the AlCan, up to the Arctic circle and then back to Anchorage.
In 2006 we rode from Houston thru NM then up to the North Rim, across Idaho, down to 4 corners and then to Durango and back to Houston.
Last year we did 4,478.07 miles (according to my GPS), through 11 states in 16 days. We spent the nights in -
Vernon, Texas
Amarillo, Texas
Colorado Springs, Colorado (via Capulin, New Mexico)
Rawlins, Wyoming
Colter Bay, Wyoming (Grand Tetons)
Cooke City Montana
Sheridan, Wyoming
Deadwood, South Dakota
Wall, South Dakota
Broken Bow, Nebraska
Junction City, Kansas
Neosho, Missouri
Harrison, Arkansas
Mena, Arkansas
Marshall, Texas (via Oklahoma)
All the travel I have done I think the following town should be in Nebraska (or maybe Kansas)

Those were three incredible trips, Bushwacker. I'm sure a lot of us would love to see your photos. Don't be shy.
I have to agree with you about Boring, Oregon. It was anything but that. Nebraska or Kansas, however, have areas about as exciting as I-10 in West Texas.

Thank you so much, Bill, you put a big smile on my face!
Which reminds me, even I need to go back and look at these photos again. It was an incredible trip, 23 days, 11000 miles.
