WCKCC is planning a group run to the Nationals
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The North and Central Reps are currently planning a 5 or 6-day run that hits 9+ National Parks in California, Utah, and Colorado before arriving at the Nationals. (leave Friday 6/12 or Saturday 6/13)
I will be posting a run sheet on both the Sky and Solstice Forums on a new thread in the near future for anyone that would like to join in. Overnight stops are tentaively planned for Bryce Canyon (in the Park), Moab (just outside Arches) and Vail. If we do just a 5-day the first night would be in Caliente, NV. If we do a 6-day the first night (Friday 6/12) would be in Lee Vining and the second night (6/13) would be in Cedar City or Springdale (just outside Zion).
Once it's posted we're hoping that some of the Nevada, Utah, and Colorado groups might meet up with us on the trail.
We are working on hotels and lodging possibilities at each overnight stop and break and lunch locations while enroute.
We will be traveling most of the same route, but in the opposite direction, as we come in from the west. We'll just look at it from a different angle.
Most of us picked up our Annual Pass last weekend while we were running Seqouia National Park. We also picked up our window sticker (only available for convertibles) so we don't have to hang the stupid banner with the pass from our rear view mirror. It took each car about 5 minutes to process all of the paperwork and then we had to come back later for the window sticker because the line behind us got so long.

I realize that the list is in no particular order for starters
but as time gets closer for the cruise please consider me
for a Road Captain/radio man.
Depending on the number of cars... you are going to need mid-way Road captains and
radio communications operators.
We should stress that people WITH RADIOS ......BRING THEM.
Feel free to put me in the #8 slot...or #16...or even sweeping...for comm. purposes
Also...FlyingZ and I plan to run together so i can enjoy his Turbo
and he can enjoy my SOLO.
3/4 of the people on this list are already friends from previous runs
so we should have a great bunch. I will predict that you will see dashark and GWG among others sign up soon also.
