Lend a hand here and let whom ever is going to tackle the 2010 (or any future eastern) meet get an idea of what they are getting into.

If I do this right, you should be able to vote for more than one location.

This is just to try and find out how large this event may end up being if it falls into the demographic center of the majority of Solstice owners

The Grand Strand Solstice/Sky club is hosting the 2009 S.E. Regional and if we get a good turn out for our event , I would be willing to take on the 2010 National. With the help of the other clubs in the Southeast CKC, Ga Peach Club.

Bump for weekend exposure.

It doesn't appear like everyone understood my intention for this poll.

It is not a vote for next location, it is merely a way to find out if the hosts for an event on the eastern part of the country need to to plan for 200 or even 500 attendees.

This not a commitment, but if you have any interest at all in being at a national event please vote.

We need to have a good sense of the numbers involved. This information will have a direct effect on choosing the site location for any given area. There is not much point in using a 200 room hotel if 500 cars show up.

I voted for the SE and Ohio

I would go to either location, but Ohio would be the furthest away that I could attend (from my current location).

The Carolinas are closer, but the Great Lakes would be great. New England would work too, but a distant third.

if I remember correctly, Nashville had . 265 folks there.....162 cars or so....I think a planning figure of 250-300 would be realistic considering the geographics of ownership based on the members map alone...

Half of the US population lives within 450 miles of Ohio, which is why I believe a national meet there is likely to easily draw 250 vehicles...and I wouldn't be shocked to see it double the size of the Nashville meet.

250-300 people?, . . . or cars? My guesstimate would be 250 - 300 cars, equating to approximately 400 - 500 people.

(Based on the current members mapping)

Well I voted for all three, as any of the above choices would be about a 1 day drive for me, depending on the exact City/State selected.

I would say 200-250 cars.....you audience right now is the Solstice, Sky and GXP forums and a regular steady group of participants on this forum and I dont see a large influx of forum members that would make the 250-300 car attendance....just my assessment.......we had an increase of 70 or so cars over the first one in Kansas City for Nashville....

Las Vegas and CO were and will be driven by demographics of course and owner location....and probably not indicative of a larger turnout of a eastern US national meet based on owner locations.....

I think one of the main purposes of meets is to INCREASE both the membership and activity among owners. The audience should not simply be these forums...but as many Kappa owners as possible, especially in the immediate area of the event.

For an Ohio national meet, I would expect to see all Kappa dealerships within 250 miles be given information to pass on to new owners and those bringing a Kappa in for service. That includes the metro areas of cities like Chicago, Detroit, Indy, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh where there are a lot of owners who are not aware of or active in these forums or groups. The potential for a great increase in awareness is there if an effort is put forth...and as NASSOA gains continued acceptance and credibility with GM, it will only make the effort easier.
