Team Solstice 2008 HOT SHOT Aggressive 2007 GXP Auto-minus On*Star, spoiler, and smokers pkg. Delivered December 4, 2006
Ave mixed driving 26 mpg
2 failed pinion seals...300+ miles, and 9,700+ miles...and one more under recall at 12,636 miles for a grand total of 3!
Driver's outside door handle came apart in May 2008...repaired June 2008
Canvas top replaced June 2008.
Gas cap replaced.
All repairs covered under warranty.
From the looks of that accident you are in deed lucky to have gotten out with just a few bumps and bruises. Those pictures are horrible. It looks like there was no space under the car. I'm really glad you got out with no major injuries.

Diane....
as with everyone else I am so glad you escaped unscathed.
The car is built extremely well...but even an experienced driver cannot
handle every situation perfectly....which is why...to echo the sentiments of PHIL

So sorry you had to experieince this on the way you did, but an thankful that YOU came out with only small injuries.
I also have found that it takes only a small mistake, at the wrong time, for these cars to perform an unexpected "stunt". My driving has changed since my spin, but it is still in my Sol.
I give God the praise for the minor injuries that you have from this incident!! He was right there beside you during the whole thing.

Best comment so far about my Aggressive Sol, from a driver of a red S2000 in the small town I live near, "I thought I was going to have the coolest car for some time. Now, I know I am wrong!"

I am so, so sorry Diane! Keith and I are really glad that you are OK! God was watching out for you. It is amazing that you only had minor injuries - so happy for that! Take care!

Diane,
We are so thankful you are okay. I agree with Bob (wartie) about seeing the rescue vehicles go past us as we were leaving the other end of the Dragon. We never even thought it might be for one of our group. Take care, give yourself time to heal and then make your choice on which vehicle to get. In the end it was the sacrifice of the car which saved your life and your life is all that matters. You will remain in our prayers.
I thought the rescue crew might have been for the Palmers - when I didn't see them in my rear view mirror anymore, I got very worried.
Wow!! This is one tough little car to allow you to walk away from that! Glad it kept you safe and you are alright! I've been lucky a few times in mine and will take it easy when I do T2TR!
Good luck with dealing with all the insurance. I hope everything goes smoothly and you are in another Sol soon!

I'm so glad you came out literally unscathed! I just can't imagine how you survived so well with the windshield collapsed like that. Good to hear that you'll recover from you injuries and willing to get back on the horse maybe with a GXP!
All I can keep thinking about is a line from a song "Angels watching over me" and your picture from the calendar. So, I hope you don't mind - I modified your picture with text. If you don't want here let me know and I'll remove it.
