Well, it's that time of the year again. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix will be held in Schenley Park on the weekend of July 19-20. Last year everyone who attended said they wanted to come back so here we are The weekend registration fee is $25 per car which includes parking on the grounds for both days and a dash plaque. I'll be contacting the Thunderbirds Club to see if we can partner up with them again this year to share in the picnic costs. In the mean time you can go to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix web site and register. Remember to tell them your club is the Western PA Solstice Club so we are all grouped together. I'll post more info as I get it from the race organizers. There are pics in their gallery of last years parade through the park. There are some really nice looking Solstices in some of the pics. I'll also find out if we are going to be in the parade again. Here's the link to the registration forms. You want to go to the forms under the Combined Car Shows at Schenley Park - Weekend - July 19-20:

Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association | Registration/Entry Forms

Mark your calenders...we had a great time last year. If anyone who is out of the area needs info on places to stay, just PM me. There are lots on great places that are out of the city but still close. Last year the front half of our group, approximately 13 Solstices made it COMPLETELY through Pittsburgh without having to stop at a single red light. Talk about looking like a parade, it was great.

Have to say I am so sorry I can't get to this one.. But, last summer I ordered some fantasic poster art from the Vintage people. Visit their website and feast on the art if you are looking for past posters of the event..

Couple hanging on my wall..

Have a great time.

It was all in the luck of the draw. I was first in line, and even I didn't get to have Miss Golden Triangle ride with me....and who should have someone related to a triangle ride with them more than an architect???

Once you have sent in your registration send me a PM so I can keep track of everyone who is coming...thanks!

No promises, but maybe Beth & I will be able to do it this year. I don't think we'll be waiting on a granddaughter this year! Time will tell.
