For those interested in either checking out what autocross is or even if you want to give it a try, the club I compete with is having a two day event this weekend at Storyland in Glen, NH. If you want to compete you will need to get there by 8 am to register and make sure you empty your car of all the unnecessary stuff (like floor mats, etc.) and you will need a helmet (either full face or open face that covers the whole head) that is also DOT/Snell approved. The club is really friendly to newcomers and everyone is willing to give you pointers and tips. Also if you just want to watch or even go for a ride on the course with either me or one of the other competitors you can do that as well. The weather looks to be really cooperative with temps in the 70s so it would be a great opportunity to go for a ride through some of New England's scenic territory and check out the autocross scene. Hope to see some of you there!
Oh and by the way, I will be driving the black 2.4L Solstice (with a newly installed supercharger)...# 155
I'd be down in a heartbeat but unfortunatly I'll be working the weekend and missing out on the sunshine.. Sometimes life just sucks!!!! By the way, I believe you owe your post script an update with your DDM S/C #. Or are you going stealth????

Man that's too bad that you have to work especially this weekend with temps in the 70s. But look at it this way...more money = more opportunity to buy more go fast parts!
Yeah, I do need to update my signature block now that I am a full fledged member of the DDM stage II club!
man tempted for sure. heading to watkins glen sat night to run on the road course sunday. wonder how much further it would be from Glen, NH. i'll have to look it up Looks to be a great weekend for spirited driving!
Maine-iac - Yes you can 'drive the track' with a pace car, no 'spirited' racing.
