We may be going also. Fishkill is just on the other side of the river from us over Rt 84.

Meet up around noon?
My route will look something like this.
I'm going straight through and will take the Fishkill route. I've included both of the stops discussed (just in case others can meet up).
Can we just meet at Walt Whitman (Steve is the only one to specified a preference so far)?
Meet there around noon?
Gary (& 'SweetCoupe 58'), we can back track to figure out when to start out...
Hope you can make it - we will me meeting in Fishkill aournd 9am and will be leaving no later than 9:30 to make the next stop. Hope to see you there!
Still working out where in Fishkill (your suggestions welcome), check out this thread on the sky form for the developing plan...
The route posted is all highway and not very scenic. From the Fishkill/Wappinger’s area there are so many nicer routes, like down RT9, across the like Bear Mountain/Rt6 (nice mountain views) or stay on RT 9 through Sleepy Hollow across the Tappan Zee and either of these can put you on the Palisades Parkway to the NJT. The Palisades has two great overlooks of the Hudson/NYC on the northbound side.

Point B is where the Palisades Parkway ends/begins. Here, you are at the foot of the GWB. From there you can follow the signs to the NJT. The section from RT 9 to the Bear Mt Bridge takes you past Camp Smith through a very scenic curvy mountain road that hangs on the edge overlooking the Hudson. If you have time you can stop at Bear Mt State Park for some more mountain views. You'll be going South on the Palisades Parkway toward the GWB. If you take the turnaround near Alpine to go north you can stop at one of two look outs to for more great views of the Hudson. Down there, you can see NYC in the distance. In FT Lee, you can pick up the NJT to your rest stop. Hope that helps. This is a far nicer ride than the highway I saw posted earlier.
