No, you really don't want to read about all that's on my mind.
Beside that; I have no suggestions for the March meeting either.

Where's everyone else? We're waiting.

Working nights, so for me it's gotta be local and short in duration.

Not that I would expect the event to revolve around me or anything.

one more day and we'll see March 8h on the 10 day forecast....
the 7th is rainy, but 50. Its an upward trend to 50 so maybe Saturday is even warmer??!?

Ideas Ideas Ideas...
Most of these are probably too long.... Just brainstorming meeting and crusing ideas

Considering St Pats... anything Irish? Wildwood NJ has a small Irish Pub Section. Take back roads in? Take Ferry over? Stop at Cape May?

Yeungling Brew Pub Tour?

Remember the cool road-trip last year... started at Art Museum, went up Kelly Drive and into Radnor... then western Suburbs and went all the way down to Wilmington (passing through Spag's favorite Centerville Rd)? That was a good twisty cruise. No real end point... other than a Hooters. Just good ol american crusin. One of the Sky guys organized it.. but I cant find the link right now.

A shorter version... of above?

hmm.. something I dont think was done before (in my 18 mos).. a cruise to Baltimore Inner Harbor? All though that would be best in a warmer time. Its really a quick drive from Wilmington.

Simple trip to Atlantic City via Joisey backroads? New Outlet stores... The Pier Mall has been completely rebuilt and has some cool restaraunts on the top level...

Sea Isle City NJ, just because I need to go there to book a summer vacation rental.

Ocean City Maryland... Secrets! Considering the lack of summer traffic, is there an interesting route along the ocean (that isnt loaded with traffic lights?)

hmm... for in the summertime... a big trip to Virginia Beach.. Over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge!!? A 5 hour cruise from Wilmington! Could make for a fun long weekend trip!

New Hope, pa?

Lancaster, PA?

Hershey, pa?

How bout a simple lunch at Mike's Harley in Wilmington?

For later in the year.... Gettysburg PA? 2 1/2 hours from Wilmington (but man... google maps shows a crazy way to get there!)

Lunch at Cheeseburger In Paradise near the Mecca Host Hotel?

Annapolis, over the the smaller Bay Bridge, and back up via 301?

Buffalo Wild Wings in Delaware?

Bahama Breezes in Cherry Hill, NJ?

Mexican Post, Franklin Mills Mall Philadelphia (outlets)

Jackson NJ Outlets?

Peddlers Village?

Pocono Mtns... Casinos?

Later in the year. ..Mohegan Sun.. meet our Connecticut friends

ok ok.. .me thinks I went overboard. I wont make any events anyway.

How about a test run of the route that we will use for the Saturday after Mecca?

But.. but ... but...will there be ice cream?

What is that run? Do tell more. I see a high level overview in the saturday thread..

Actually, how long is this cruise? General route? A google map run?

Spag has been cooking something up and we are going to give it a spin if the weather ever corporates some weekend when we are both free. Then we would be more comfortable posting the actual route. I can say that it is an eclectic mix of the Piggy Bowl route and Delaware 9. As for the ice cream not sure if they are open this early in the season ...

cool.. let us know the plans as the week progresses (if March 8th is the day for this run)
the 10-day weather just made it into March 8th.. and lists the day as 46 and partly cloudy. Not bad... but still way early to tell, of course.

I'm a bit comfused. Are we doing a pre-run of a proposed route for May 9th for the March meeting? That would be OK w/ me. Anything to get out in Zippy; it's been a while. Anything ending at a Hooters would also work.

I agree that a pre-run is a good idea. Get a few of the locals familiar with the route, so that if there is a large group on May 9th, we will be less likely to get lost or separated.

OK so an executive decision was made ...

Here is the plan.

Meet at Anchor for the early risers ... let's say 9 AM ... for coffee and BS
Meet at the Plant Parking lot for the late risers and honorary locals ... let's say 10:30
Leave the Plant by 11 and test out the after the tour Saturday Route

We can discuss lunch options at some point during the day as there are a bunch of possibilities that include the Sonic in Dover or any number of local joints, maybe a trip down to Dog Fish Head for those who have not driven enough that day
