OK ... how about about two different options for a Delaware club meeting in November. First their could be a trip to the Dover AFB ... more information here http://amcmuseum.org/
Or there is a new Sonic drive in here on 13 South in Bridgeville
We could even combine the two if folks want to make a day of it!
Thoughts?

I was thinking that we could meet at the Museum by 10 hang around look at planes, take pictures and then head to the Sonic for Lunch and more pictures ... maybe even head down to DogFish Head for an adult beverage later

Ok we got links now.
Sounds like a plan. I'm in.
I promise to stay longer than one hour this time.
Man oh man, Delaware is the first state, the home town of the Solstice, and the last club to get on it's feet. Whats up with that.

That sounds like a good plan to me Mike. Just need to set up a date now.
It might be easier to just sorta pick a date for all of them. Like every 2nd Saturday of the month is a get together or something. Then all we have to do is pick the place for that month.
If we get bad weather, we can push it back a week or something, but then everyone knows every 2nd saturday is Cruisin Day!

I like that Idea as well. I like it a lot.
A semi permanent day of the month, as tyler19701 suggested, still seems to be the best way to go.
I always have work conflicts most of the year as I'm on call 24/7, but I'll deal with that as it comes up.
One vote from me for Tyler's plan.

Well, my schedule is full as usual.
I'm working nights the first and third Saturdays in November and days the last. I'll be in Nashville on the 11th.
I can still get out when working nights, I just have to make an early day of it.
Pick a day and we'll work on it.
Will we get to take pictures of our cars next to the planes?

No.
People, this is a big trip Mike has planned. An hour or so to the museum, an hour or two at the museum, an hour to the Sonic, eat, pictures, 45 minutes to Dogfish, drink, eat, and then 2 hours back to Wilmington, so you better plan on a 10 hour day. Maybe do 2 stops instead of 3 ? Depending on weather.

I have to work on that ... I do know a couple of folks one of them being the retired General who runs the joint but I don't know and I have not asked yet. I usually run into him on the golf course, so I may just have to look him up and ask.
Also all of the activities are just suggestions at this point and I'm open to 1 or 2 or 3 activities

Depending on which Saturday is chosen, I'll have to be back in Newark by 5pm at the latest for work. I think my day will be more like 5 or 6 hours. I'd hate to have to miss Dogfish Head, though.

Well we could always reverse the order after the museum we could do DogFish Head and then back up to the Sonic?
At this point I think we are still looking at the Second Saturday of every month ... Or I could start a poll ... I know how everyone seems to like to vote

Second Saturday would work for me sometimes. My rotation is a 4 week deal and I'm not working the same Saturdays month to month. I'll just have to make it out when I can.
The second Saturday in November I'll be in Nashville.
