The Red Bull Solstice and the rest of the Formula D Drift teams will be at Englishtown N.J. June 14 this year, we had a great turn out last year with 16 people from the forum there to cheer on Rhys Millen in the Solstice GXP. Mark your calenders. This is a small track and everyone gets a great view. I hope lots of folks will be there to cheer. There are a lot of surprises in store this year should be the best Drift season ever.

I just thought I would give this a bump. The Red Bull Solstice will be at Wall and Rhys will be driving, RMR will also have a 2004 GTO driven by Dai racing so not one but 2 Pontiac's. Rhys won the National Championship in 2005 in the GTO. Both he and Dai are ranked in the Top 5 of all Drifters. This should be a great year and this is there only East Coast appearance. I found and Econo Lodge that has cheap room in Lakewood.

It starts at 12:00 with qualifying if I remember right goes to about 8:00 I will be there Friday I have an interview scheduled with Rhys, they do qualifying all day Friday too from 32 down to the 16 that race solo on Saturday, down to the 8 that Battle Drift

Also have it pencilled in. It's the same date of the DE Group monthly meeting. We might make it our destination.
It is a blast, you can not believe how different it is in person, the pits are wide open, you can go look at the cars meet the drivers, it is very fan oriented. It is like watching the last 5 minutes of a race 15 times in one day.

OK even after I emailed the Formula D folks and they said the event was on, it seems that this afternoon the event was canceled. That is what Rhys Millen said. As soon as I figue out if they will replace it with a race somewhere else I will post it. They were already only doing 7 instead of 8 now we are down to 6.

Well it's Official Wall Raceway is closed, but the Formula D drift will still be in New Jersey and still be June 14, It will be at Englishtown Raceway instead of Wall. Just a bit farther inland. There will be 2 Pontiac sponsored Solstices racing, and the RMR GTO GO PONTIAC! we may also see the debut of the Mopar Drift Challenger. Should be a great time.
