FormulaD in NJ

Glad to hear it! And that puts it about 1/2 hour closer to me than Wall was. Cool!

Plus, that's my old home town. I'll have to drive past the old homestead while I'm in town.

I should be there

That new course should be great, just being finished now.

A NJ Tuner club i'm part of is trying to rent their road course for a day. If it goes well, I'm going to try to get the same done for a Kappa Event

OK it is almost here, I will be in E-Town Thursday, I have to check in the track by 5 for my Press Pass. I will be at the track all day Friday and Saturday, who else is going to be there. The Red Bull Solstice won Atlanta lets go for 2 in a row, with the Gardella Solstice in 3 rd and the Sky in the great 8 let's show some support. This is way more fun tan it looks like on TV.

Keep us posted on this. It will be interesting to find out what is required regarding safety equipment.

I'm putting up a post suggesting this as the destination for the DE group monthly meeting.

as I feared, NJ State police and state law state that all convertibles must have some sort of roll over protection, whether it be a factory roll bar (even the M3's with the pop up bar is allowed) or an actual cage/bar.

So for us, we're not allowed.

I do, however, think the RMR bar would pass and be allowed. They weren't checking to see each attachment point, just doing a brief tech inspection and what not, pretty much like an autox inspection.

I didn't run personally because of this, but my friends said the track is fun, but could use a re-paving. Not sure if it was just random debris on the track and needed a cleaning, but they said it was just a bit "dirty".

Overall, they liked the track, and there's lots of performance schools to be planned there, as well as ways to obtain licenses as I'm told. I'll post more info about it as it comes.

Thanks for all that info. It's as I expected. I think I'll be taking a trip soon up to Pheonixville to talk to Joe.

I hope all you DE. guys come up, Rhys always makes everyone welcome, and Ryan an the guys from Gardella are really cool too. There will be a new vendor there as well, I won't give them away yet. I know the Program Manager from GM racing will be there, some of you may have met her at Mecca. This is a great place to tell vendors face to face what parts we want for our cars. If anyone wants they can see a RMR style bar in person, on my car.

Taking a look at your RMR Style Bar will be worth the trip. Weather permitting, I'm planning on being there.

You under-rate yourself; you're a very popular guy in the important circles. We'll miss you.

Glad you can make it Rusty, and I will miss you too Critter. I am hoping that my car will be in the paddock with the RMR car to demo the style bar, still working on that with Formula D. If not it will be in the lot with the others.
