They may not any more, but Avis did rent Solstices at select locations like Orlando....

Ya, I think it's only in select locations in places where you can drive em most of the year. For instance, you can get them at LAX, but not in Seattle (I wanted to rent one for a week as an extended test drive).

I didn't take too many pics at the plant... due to the rain... but I did snap a couple.

The Enterprise Rental Car sales lot near me has them on sale every-so-often, so I presume they must rent them near by too. I've toyed with the idea of picking one up to use as a track car and with the excuse of finding out about rentals I now have a reason to go in and ask. Will post if I get a chance to ask.

Michelle,

If I know before the end of February 2009 the exact dates, I can arrange my schedule accordingly. Both of my kids are married and my son graduated this year, so I can even miss graduation if it conflicts (my dean understands my addiction ) Karen is as excited about doing this as I am, but the issue is the 3-day drive between Lubbock and Wilmington. She may have to fly back and forth, as her vacation time is limited.

Bottom line, Lord willing, I will be there!

Oh, I want to drive, but 2800 miles EACH WAY seems a little excessive.

I was all set to drive (you mean I get to open my new Coupe up in Montana?!?!?) until I saw that it was 2800 miles (42 hours of driving alone) each way. Ya, that would make for a long vacation with not a whole lot of relaxation. Gonna ahve to take the Coupe on a shorter jaunt than that... I'll just have to bring pictures along with me...

Maybe you can arrange to take delivery at the plant and then you will only have to drive one way!
