Mike: Alice and I are grateful for including us in this great event. Especially at the "late hour." We met some great people, exchanged stories and many were willing to provide great ideas for our newly acquired Sol. The Sol-Sky family really reached out and made us feel welcomed in our first event. We are proud to be included as part of the "family"
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

You guys rock!

I'd like to thank smartin for the accidental boobage out in the parking lot... You look great BTW!

Mike and Solli... great work as usual.
And everybody else at GM for a great time.

Thanks to all.....from Justmike to all folks on the line. A trip and an experience well worth the visit. So many people to thank for the wonderful time. Just having the opportunity to talk with several folks at the plant....Jack P. QBM, Tyler doing the car care clinic, the guys out in the TLC tent, the folks handling the food, the raffles, plant guides, and security. Plus the opportunity to meet new owners of our kappa cars as well as catching up with the ones we've met at prior events. Again Thanks to all.

This is one event that will surely be missed

I want to thank everyone at Wilmington who volunteered to participate in the Mecca III Tour - where would any of us be without you? You are the ones who assembled the cars that changed our lives for the absolute better in ways too numerous to mention here. Your efforts have created a wonderfully strong and cohesive community that I'm certain will last. We are GM family.

Thanks again to the crew in the TLC tent - it's always great watching professionals at work! I completely meant it when I said that I don't trust anybody else to touch my car. You guys are the BEST!!!

I'd also like to thank GM & the UAW for allowing us to use your logos for the Mecca III teeshirts. I'm very happy that our forum members, Local 435 and the Security crew really liked them. For those who asked about the tees, I will do another print run - we'll just need to coordinate the order with Jose.

Well, it seems that none of us can get enough of Wilmington. I really hope we will be able to visit again next year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Christ, where do I start.

I have had this vehicle for just a year but in that time I have met some of the best people and some of the best friends that I have ever met in my life. My only regret is that you don't all live closer to me here in Canada.

I had an AWESOME time at Mecca. It was my first time there but I felt a connection with the people there. Maybe because I too work in a GM facility and worry every day if I will get enough time in the plant to get a pension.

Thanks to the Mikes and Solli for all they have done to make this happen. Thanks to the guys on the line, to the Security staff, to the engineering team and to management, especially Robert the plant manager. Without his support there would be no Mecca.

I don't spend as much time here since joining the new Performance board as moderator last December but I am glad that I made it to Mecca. Let's hope and pray that we are able to do it again next year especially if the worst happens and they close the plant. It would be great to be there on the last day of production to say thank-you to all that are there that day.

Make no mistake. The Meccas are as much for those people that work at Wilmington as they are for us. It's all part of team building and they look forward to it as much as we do.

It was AWESOME to meet everyone there and on the Saturday run. Let's hope that this wasn't the last.

LineDog It was great meeting you, just wish I had more time to talk to you, but I had to get out to the TLC tent, first time in 3 years, i had a small leak in my trunk. Well I also had a miss-aligned top and didn't know it, fixed. Some chips and scratches, fixed, and got the address to the hinge manufacture so that I might be able to get the newer bumper stops so I can add my spoiler.

what can be said about the plant personnel, they are like us, family and treat us as such. Thank you and everyone who makes this happen. See you next year.

This was my third tour. I want to especially thank all the workers, management, and public relations people involved in the process of building our cars. I want to especially thank Roger the body panel magician and Stan the facia and top man. You are all truly the best!!! Thanks for a fun car and a great day. Can't wait to see you all again next year. Thank you all again.

Thanks to all who had a hand in putting everything together! It was so great meeting fellow Kappa owners and seeing the plant where our cars are made. Thanks to all those in the plant and especially Ken for the great tour.

And being the FNG, I especially want to thank those that took me in under their wings and made me feel welcome, made sure I made it everywhere ok and showed me a great time.

Look forward to next year!

Oh my gosh the 17 hour drive was totally worth it! Thanks to everyone who made this possible. To the paint guys a huge thank you! And the guy that fixed my top, amazing that you were able to fix in 10 minutes what my dealership had me in a rental for 2 days for. The dent wizard is a magician! Thank you!!!

How cool is this? I wasn't even in the TLC line , but I asked one of the guys (didn't get his name) a question about how to remove a part to paint it flat black. He didn't know the answer, but got someone who did. He told me how to remove the part, but also said to be careful because I'd probably break the little tabs that held the part in. About 10 minutes later, the original guy comes up to me and GIVES me the new part , saying "just in case you break yours getting it out". Unbelievable !

To top the day off, at Joe's Crab Shack , we sat with Big Sal and his son (who's a dead ringer for actor Oliver Platt) , and reminisced about the area where we all grew up in. Turns out we went to the same high school , but at different times.

Sollie - Do you still want to proceed with our idea? Call me on my cell or PM me.
