Staying at the Villager Motel Heading out there now, 734 788 2335. Hope to hook up tonight let me know if there is a meet n greet. I'll swing by the Seneca but the lounge isn't open.
I had a great time. Only saw three Solsti there. One was a black Solstice GXP with upgraded turbo, nice chrome rims, and an interior leather package that looked terrific. (If your here, nice to meet you!)
Second was a white Solstice with blue stripes. I just saw this one passing in town, but I think it had a body kit too.
The other was a yellow Solsti, although I didn't meet the owner of this one, and only saw it at a distance as well.
I got three runs in on the track myself. My old Fiero made it down, through the laps, and back. There was a far bigger crowd there than I have ever seen. Either word really spread about the event this year, or the nice weather just encouraged more people to show. It was still a good time, but I wish it was a little less crowded which would have allowed a couple more runs.

we kinda changed plans a little due to the sheer volume of people there.
Next year, those who want to do more than one run should arrive early and get to the lineup first and then gather in the group area for a second group run.
We had 8.5 Solstices , the .5 was a Solstice under a GTO "Revenge" body and we accepted him into the group.
And two of us ended up 1st car behind the pace car and ohh-boy does that suck hard.
It was an excellent day. Got on the track twice, Lunch with the Solstice crew and still had time for some lake driving/wine tasting. My pics of the day can be viewed here: Watkins Glen Opening Day 2009 | Road Runner PhotoShow

Just wanted to drop in and thank Excelsior for his work on making this a great event. It was really nice meeting you all. Had a great time. We've already decided to follow the "new" plan for next year and get in the other line first Have a great summer, hope to see some of you while we're running up and down the coast.
