We are set for the photo shoot at the Dam with Killboy. He will be there at or shortly before 6:00 pm on Friday.

I suggest everyone start heading for the site around 5:30

Last year we ran the SkyWay Dragon loop as usually run, clockwise, ie: Heading from Fontana to the Cherohala Skyway then looping up and coming around to the north end of the Dragon and running it to the Crossroads of Time. This year we decided to change things up a little. This year, we will run the Dragon first!!! From there we will continue on 129 to 72, take 72 to 411, 411 thru Vonore then turn on to 360. We will follow 360 into Tellico Plains. Most groups will stop in Tellico for lunch and a break before embarking on your trip over the Cherohala SkyWay.



There in Robbinsville, hte first group, the Hot-Shoes will have lunch before the last leg of the run, 143 to 28, and running HellBender back to Fontana.

1. Head northwest on Fontana Rd/NC-28 toward Welch Rd Continue to follow NC-28
- 5.8 mi
2. Turn left to stay on NC-28 - 2.9 mi
3. Turn right at US-129 Entering Tennessee - 22.0 mi
4. Turn left at TN-72 - 9.0 mi
5. Turn left at TN-72 W/US-411 S - 2.6 mi

Last year with 40 cars, we tried to stay in one group. That didn't turn out too well. We started breaking up before we hit the SkyWay.

This year we are separating into groups based off of Driving styles. We have the make up of the groups with leaders set. We just need the remainder of styles. We also woul;d like to have Sweepers volunteer for each group

Registration for the DRAGON EVENT has closed. It closed May 28th!!! We cannot accept any more! Set dinner plans are in place with Fontana Food Service and cannot be amended!!!

There is construction on NC 143 leading from Robbinsville to the Cherohala Skyway. This will likely be underway through the month of June. Use extreme caution and expect gravel, new pavement, sand, and slippery when wet conditions on the new tar.

We'll check this out Wednesday, may have to make alterations to the Saturday Run.
