I sent the cash in for me and the waiver last week. I was talking to my brother tonight and he said he wanted to ride along. He is one of those Harley-type guys and I convinced him to ride in something more exciting than the bike.
My question is: do I need to re-register completely, or can I add him as a passenger and just send his $70.00 in? I want to make sure I have my poop in a group before May 28th.
Thanks
Dave
Dave,
I too am one of those "Harley Type Guys" He won't be the only one there and I believe there's a few more of us. See ya there.
hello,
sounds like a great time. i just got my solstice for my 42nd birthaday. i wish me and the wife could attend but with our vacation schedule we can not. we are planning on going to the smokey moutain area in late august. we are planning a drive on the dragon one of those days. hopefully if there is a sky/solstice meet at the dragon next year we can attend. hope the weather is good for your meet and everybody has a good time. thank you

If you can't make this one and you are going to be on the road in August you might want to take a look st this thread:
PMs have been sent.
A heads-up to those on the list but not highlited: You may arrive for your stay at Fontana, but if we don't have your fees you won't participate in the activities. If we don't have a waiver from you, you will not be on the runs.
To those who have notified me their fees are inbound, I'm awaiting them.
I just want to also remind everyone that we need t-shirt sizes... so that SolsticeWolf can make sure to have the correct sizes..... Either pm him or myself I have some but not all.... Thanks, Kim
I can't believe it's that time again...what a blast we had last year!
Unfortunately i won't be able to make anything but Saturday, but i'll be hitting the Dragon with you all on that day. My girlfriend will be my passenger...she's more excited than I am!
I saw someone post the question that i had but didn't see the response. We won't be attending anything but Saturday but are still interested in getting shirts. Do we have to pay the whole fee or can we just get the shirts separately?
I hope to see some familiar faces again.

You'll probably get a PM like I did. It's doable. My problem is my son can't let me know his availability until he gets back from Italy next week. That's cutting it close to the registration deadline!

So, i thought i had this whole situation worked out but apparently not...I'm taking a trip to Arizona the week before the meet and Delta changed my itinerary on me. I'm currently not arriving back in TN until Saturday evening....which means i won't be able to make the meet at all....
I'll miss you guys! I had such a great time last time. Enjoy and tear up the dragon some for me!!!

Got an update on the law enforcement activities in the area surrounding the Dragon from TOTD.com
Riders/drivers need to respect those who live in the area. Watch your speeds in residential neighborhoods.
There is road construction on NC 143 leading to the Cherohala Skyway. This will likely be underway for the next month or so. Currently there is chat on part of the road between US 129 and the STOP SIGN at Business 143. You can avoid this by staying on Business 143 between Robbinsville and the Cherohala.
NCHP has been active on the Cherohala and on the 4-lanes. Remember, the 4-lanes are prime target areas in North Carolina.>> CLICK HERE FOR RADAR MAP
We heard a number of cars were recently ticketed on NC 28 while driving in a group even though only one was actually clocked. Troopers use "probable cause" to write the entire group. We suggest complaining by phone to the Clerk of Court or County DA about such outrageous tickets. Contact us for more information. (Note: NC28 is HellBender for those here for the first time. Fontana Village is on NC28. Everyone play it cool coming in!!)
There is an unmarked white BCSO Expedition cruising the Dragon. They also have an unmarked black Explorer and black Mercury Marquis. We have also heard of tickets issued for 42 and 44 mph in the ridiculous 30 mph area.
The prime target area in Tennessee is on US 129 along the Little Tennessee River just to the north of the Dragon. Minor tickets including speeding issued by Blount County SO (not THP) can be settled for $10 .... Call the Blount County TN Clerk of Court for info. Watch your speed on the 4-lanes in North Carolina.
