The Grand Strand Solstice/Sky Club would like to gauge interest in having a 2009 Regional Solstice/Sky meeting in our backyard, the beautiful Grand Strand area encompassing over 40 miles of beaches and attractions galore. We are currently working with the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce on hotel deals.
Myrtle Beach has so much to offer:
* Yahoo voted our Beach #1 in the country.
* We have over 130 golf courses
* Attractions: Ripley's Aquarium, Broadway At The Beach, Brookgreen
Gardens, Georgetown Historic District, Alligator Adventure and Hard
Rock Theme Park--just to name a few.
* Live Shows: House Of Blues, Medieval Times, Legends In Concert, The
Palace Theatre, Alabama Theatre, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner
Show, SunCruz Casino Boat and more.
* Recreation & Activites: Miniature Golf, Nascar Speedpark, Water Parks, 2
Oceanfront State Parks, 4 fishing Piers.
* Restaurants A-Z---100's and100's to choose from. Ditto for watering
holes.

If this sounds doable to enough people, we can start planning early. Please let us know your opinion and if you would attend an event on the coast.
We met alot of you fine folks in Nashville,TN. Many of you showed interest in coming to the beach. We, the Grand Strand Solstice/Sky Club is hosting this event.The GA & NC Clubs are welcome to join us in planning this event.Next week we have a meeting set-up to speak with a representative from one of the new hotel resorts.He says that their banquet facility can accommodate 3000 guests .We have enough members to fill that up.lol The Myrtle Beach Car Club holds 2 car show a year here at the beach with over 200 hot rods and custom cars showing up for each event. Last week the Mustang Club held their meet here with well over 200 cars. Are we the Solstice/Sky Clubs going to let these other Clubs show us up? We plan to have lots of fun in the sun parties. We might even have a band to play beach music and do a little shag dancing
I am sure we can show up the other car clubs, now the bikers might be a little harder! I gotta remember where I stayed off 74th, older place pet friendly 3 pools and jacuzzi free brealfast and $32 a night
