Kentucky Speedway Rental

Alot of people this weekend in Kentucky told me what a great time and great track this is. I had been in contact with the track this summer trying to get it for the Regional I hosted in August and was not able to rent due to cost. I would like to get an idea of how many people would be interested in attending a all Kappa Event at the Track.....

All day rental, unlimited laps, price includes the pit trucks, ems and fire.... Your price would depend on how many people have an interest. I know of some people who did 3 sets at 40 bucks a set with 3 laps only per set this weekend. That is 120 and only 9 laps..... Wouldnt you rather add about 80 more bucks for unlimited laps and all day?....

Remember they do not require roll bars nor helments. I do not have all the details on their rules for this type of event and would like to have a serious amount of people before I go to them for more information. The date is still unknown and if we decide to do this it would depend the track schedule..... Again this is only to see the interest.....

The address for the track:

Kentucky Speedway
5120 Sparta Pike
Sparta, KY 41086

About 1 hour outside of Cincinnati Ohio

Please vote in the poll only if you would be serious of attending this type of event

I voted yes. All day on the track for around $200 would be a great deal.
I am very surprised they don't require at least helmets though.

Keep us posted on this, because dates will play heavily on being able to attend.

Here I am behind the Pace Truck yesterday, with MS Solstice behind me and ChiliSky taking the picture....

Top Down, no helment, no roll bar..... A few of us got up over 100 mph.... It was great.....

Can you post the address of the track?

I'm trying to calculate how far away it would be, and Kentucky is a big state.

But seriously, it would help folks figure out how far of a drive it would be and if it is within their range for a weekend event.

OK, I understand the paced laps not requiring a helmet.

For rental of the track what kind of driving will be allowed?

Will cars be turned loose to run as hard as they want or is everything paced?

Wish it was a road course and not an oval.

There is a road course that is due open in the spring of 09. ( Bluegrass Motorsports & Road Course) I am looking into that as well.

The other questions I am not sure of but will put on my list to ask them....

This is great keep the questions coming. This is why I posted this before I met with them to make sure all of our questions were answered....

Thanks....

OK I'll play dumb
(because i know you have history with these type of events..I'm not pulling your wire)
If I don't know what you meant...others won't either

please explain "point to pass"

for timing i presume you mean some official with a stop watch as part of the event
(for lap time info)
