I just called the hotel to check for you and we have to wait until Oct. I asked her to check and make sure that everything is ready for us at that time and was told yes. So we need to wait just a little longer.

OK all you weekend mechanics and artists.

During the meet, we are scheduling a Mod Scramble. You might be saying; "What is a Mod Scramble?" It's a category based contest for modifications you have done to your ride. There is even a category for a completely Mod-free car too. This was done at the national meet and the categories are almost the same.

For those interested, please download the appropriate attachment for the categories and requirements for entering the contest.

Signing up for this event will be conducted at the registration desk at the meet.

We have been planning runs for the event, and already have a good variety of options:

One pure performance run on KY227. Similar to the Dragon, but effectively no speed limit, since the posted limit is faster than most people can drive the road.

Two different winery runs, with three wineries each. Before prohibition, Kentucky was the leading US wine producing state.

One bourbon distillery run, with three distilleries to tour (and taste !).

One scenic run to and through the Red River Gorge, including a drive through the hand-dug, one-lane Nada Tunnel, which is basically a cave with a road running through it.

One thoroughbred run, with a visit to the Kentucky Horse Park, and drives through and around some prety spectacular horse farms.

All of the runs will include a variety of scenic roads and pretty serious twisties, so there will be something for everyone from cruisers to hot-shoe wannabe-racers.

her website states the contract rate starting at $85 but you have to ask for the 2008 Solstice/Sky Regional Meet rate specifically, she has that link under the hotel on the website

Oh, I didn't click the hotel link on the left side, I filled out the registration and was sent to this page



then I proceeded to try to make reservations since it said I could after Oct 1.
