This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I look forward to hearing more. I absolutely loved the Nashville meet. For me, this looks like the best bet for me for a big meet in 2008. Vegas is just too far. I wouldn't be surprised if many Nashville East coasters reached the same conclusion. So, I wouldn't be surprised to see attendance top 100. That would affect the size of the hotel selected.

Hotel choices

Ok folks:

After looking at Hotels in the area there are some issues.

1: The lodge in the Park only has 35 rooms but the area is full of cabins that are very nice. On the net I found enough cabins that everyone would be within 1 mile of the lodge.
Most of the cabins have hot tubs and sleep anywhere from 1-2 to 10-15.

2: I found a large hotel that has put in an offer to have us with seperate parking, a car wash and dinner room (free) the cost would just be for food for the dinner and rooms. The draw back is that it is about 1 hr from the Park. The plus is that we all would be together.....

I just need some feedback on what everyone thinks.

Kim, I think that about half the fun we had in Nashville derived from the parking lot at the hotel. Therefore, I would like for us all to stay together. (seperate rooms of course)

I agree we need to all be together. I think the "short" wine cruise in Nashville proves that people don't mind driving a long distance to have a good time.

Boy oh, boy....big decison(s).
The hot tubs sound really, really good. Guess it depends on how many there will be. Hoping for a lot
The hotel sounds like a really good deal. Pool, hot tub, parking lot.
Hum....I guess the hotel would be better for all.

I went to Natural Bridge today.... Took 30 mins of video of the twistie roads and ate lunch at the lodge..... I think that I will be looking at the hotel outside of the Park.... Youal are right the biggest party was in the parking lot.... so what we can do is like in Nashville is on Fri we can do a run to Natural Bridge and then on Sat just hang around the cars..... I think that sounds like a plan....
I am gona post the video on u-tube either tonight or tomarrow..... and will also on this thread so be looking for it..... Thank you for all of your alls imput..... Kim

I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that the above is only for the hotel. I have not committed to them yet and I just wanted to get everyones thought on having this at a Holiday Inn before I did. The price is what the room only would be..... This does not include the additional cost of the dinner and meet fees...... This is based on a 100 room block with 100 cars in the blocked off area in the parking lot. I am waiting to contract for the dinner until I have a better idea of the attendance closer to May.

Please pm me if you have any certain questions that I can clear up please let me know.... Thank you, Kim

Okay so here I was wandering around the site and saw this thread. This is the way I came home from Nashville, up through KY to Danville, over to Lewyville, back down to the Natural bridge area and up the border with VA to Huntington, before going east to my house.

Great roads, count me in.
