ok, now to figure out the runs I'll go on. I'm not ready to be a "hot shoe" kinda gal yet. Chili - which run are you going on? Is the 227 run all hot-shoe peeps? And what exactly is the Bourbon Trail?

227 is a sweet road it is the Hot Shoe Run very twistie
Natural Bridge is also a great road with twisties, one lane tunnel and one lane roads
Bourbon Run will visit 2-3 Distilleries nice roads
Wine Run will visit 2-3 Wineries nice roads
I am leading one of the groups on the Friday Natural Bridge Run I think that you would really like that one and as far as the 227 it is one of my favorite Roads around here very very fun to drive.... 75% of it is listed at 55 mph and most people cant drive it that fast.....
ok, I signed up for the Natural Bridge on Friday and the Bourbon run on Sat

Since last weekend at the Dragon I have have been revising my plan for the 227 Hot Shoe Run because I learned that I am not what this group calls a Hot Shoe Driver.
The run will be divided into two groups, which will equate to the Hot Shoes and the In Betweens that ran the Dragon. For those that did the run last month, we ran it at an In-Between pace. Because we have a shortage of leaders, and because most people do not know what class they should be in, I have devised a hybrid run. The 227 run is uniquely suited to this approach.
The first part of the run is a transit stage, the second has some good twisties, and the third is the ridgeline run of 227 itself. The dividing line between the second and third stages is in a little town called Stamping Ground, where there is a good place to pull off the road to reorganize. The North end of 227 is very obvious, and at that location is a very large parking lot which is commonly used by the sport bikers as a marshalling yard.
We will start as one group divided by driving style, with the faster cars in the back. Traffic allowing, I will lead the second stage at a pace that I consider consistent with an in-between pace for 227. We will keep the group together for the first two stages. We will pull off the road in Stamping Ground and those who felt the pace was too slow will be invited to move out on their own for the run up 227. Those comfortable with the pace will follow immediately behind. Hopefully we will not have anyone needing a cruiser pace, but if we do we will handle it there. The run returns by the same route, with the U-turn allowing a re-sorting if necessary. We will form up as one group again in Stamping Ground, and return to the hotel together.
Comments are invited.

Sounds like a great idea to me. I ran in the in-between group at the Dragon and had a great time. I want to enjoy the twisties, but think safety should be considered for all involved. Again, sounds like a great idea - thanks

We have not signed up for any runs - at least I don't remember doing that.... Can we just play it by ear and join in when we get there???

So far there has not been an official run sign-up, just the thread asking for preferences so that we can do some scheduling. Around the first of August we will probably have a more official sign-up when we know exactly which runs we will be doing.
Obviously the more feedback we get now, the better we can plan.
Yes, you can play it by ear, but with the understanding that runs will be limited in number of participants and the run you want may be full.
