Possibly-what time do you plan to run it on Sunday? I'd be heading south from Indianapolis that day-so not quite as far as WI, or, if my 'host' is willing, perhaps on Labor Day...

we are driving up from SC on Sun morning...should be in Robbinsville by noon..actually staying at the Tapoco Lodge for Sun and Mon nites.....so all in the area welcome to join another sol......we head back to Northern VA on Tues...... probably first run on Sun afternoon...around 1:30...and then again on Monday......time to be determined......

Tapoco Lodge Resort is located in western North Carolina, 15 miles north of Robbinsville on Highway 129 and along the Cheoah River.

From Knoxville, Tennessee travel 60 miles south on US 129.
From Asheville, North Carolina travel 100 miles west on I-40, Us 12/23/74, NC28 North and NC 143 to US 129..
From Atlanta, travel 160 miles north on I-75, I-575, GA 5, US 76, GA & NC 60 North, US 19/23 to US 129 - or 166 miles north on GA 400, US 19/23 to US 129.

If I can get out of Indy by 5 am, I can be there by then, someone have a cell phone I can call if it looks like I won't make it in time? PM it to me, of course, I'll PM mine back. Will have a dog riding shotgun, lordy, I hope she like ginger snaps (to quell car sickness )

I suppose that dogs vary in their susceptibility to motion sickness but The Colonel (my St. Bernard) and I have driven the Tail of the Dragon many times and he has yet to get sick. Hopefully your trip will be the same.

Typically it only happens when they're puppies, but she's also handicapped by being too small & low to see out...although I may see if I can stash something under her crate to get her up high enough to see out...like a really big suitcase

This is gonna be fun, gotta keep an eye on the weather report. Planned departure from Indianapolis will be 4 am Sun morning, instead of 5, want more 'buffer' time in case I hit traffic or construction anywhere!
