To all who came on Saturday night, it was great to meet, chat and kick some tires ! Now, the important business at hand is our group needs a name.
Some of the suggestions were:
Minnesota Loonies Roadster Club, MN Moto-Rollers, a name including "on the horizon", something with MN Sol Kappa Sky using the greek symbol for kappa and other symbols for the Solstice and Sky, MN Solstice Sky Owners Group (MnSSOG--interesting acronym ), MN Kappa Club, MN Roadster Club and odd and various combinations of any of the above !
Feedback would be great and hope to see everyone again soon!

Solstice Sky Club of Minnesota (SSCM or SSCMn)

Minnesota Nicknames that could be worked into a club name:
"Land of 10,000 Lakes"
"North Star State"
"Gopher State"
"Land of Sky-Blue Waters"
"Bread and Butter State"
"State of Hockey"

North Star in Norwegian is Nord Stern and the Porsche Club of America (PCA) uses "Nord Stern Region - PCA" for their local club.

While I was doing the updates and web pages for this last weekend's run. It became obvious to me that life and documentation would be much easier if there was a name we could use to talk about our group. With a name I can set up proper page titling and email aliases and maybe even an internet domain structure. Of course these things can wait but if we start off with a name we would not need to change so many things later. With that said I think we need a name that represents, Saturn Sky and Solstice as well and not only Minnesota but also Wisconsin, maybe even Iowa, and North and South Dakota as well. Something Like:
Northern Prairie and Upper Midwest Kappa Club (NPUMKC)
This is just a suggestion and I think we need more discussion on this. Please let your thoughts be known.

This is from Chris 67 "That one could have a logo like an old Railroad Poster.....Northern Skys and Solstices...that one is kinda cool...North Star Kappas..I like that one too! We can incorporate the areas that the club includes in the logo.....like a compass pointing north and the rim of the compass includes all the regions. For the Northern Skys and Solstices club something similar or the North Star with a lake and pine tree...Kinda like an old Hamms Sign!"

My Comments:

I like the Northern Skys and Solstices (NSS) or could add Owners at the end and have Northern Skys and Solstices Owners (NSSO). I also like the North Star idea, but not fond of Kappa as no one (including some owners ) no what it is. How about North Star Sky and Solstice Owners (NSSSO) or drop the "owners". I think that sounds pretty cool--could probably get some good artwork on that too--think lakes and pines, sun and stars ! Feedback?
