Hey all we are thinking about a run mid Sept......the 14th or the 21st to either Lanesboro MN or Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls WI and the Leine Lodge.....also Lallii mentioned that on the 14th the BLUE ANGELS are performing in Eau Claire...F-18's and Kappas.....thats just too cool!!!
NSSC is a club of Solstices and Skys....where are you guys?!! Is anybody interested in this run... we usually get 4 or 5 Sols...but we would really like to see 20 or 30 of you!!!
Please respond if this run interests you..plus we are planning several fall color runs....
F-18's and Kappas....too cool......Sept. 14th.....
It looks like we are going to the Chippewa Valley Airshow and the Blue Angels 11am to 5pm on Sunday......plus a twisty or two on the way home. We leave from the Outback parking lot in Woodbury at 8am and head out 94 east to Chippewa Falls.
more details under the midwest post on the Sky forum.
Have any of you Sky people signed up for the dells run ?? We have wanted to do a few of your runs this summer but it seems every weekend is booked
I have signed up for the Dells run! I am thrilled! It sounds like it will be a ton of fun! Hope you can make some of our NSSC runs next year! Also... I'm thinking about the National meet in Denver and maybe even the tail of the dragon next year... Tooo fun!
I LOVE my Sky & I'm meeting so many awesome Sky and Solstice Owners this year. It's been great!
Just in case anyone changes their minds or plans... here's our plan for Sunday:
Here's my proposed plan:
*Meet at Outback- Woodbury at 8:30, depart at 9am. We will have a fun drive to Chippewa with some twisties on Hwy 12 & 29 with a pit stop at Cady Cheese factory (they have nice rest rooms and the BEST mild colby longhorn cheese in the state!).
*About 11:30am arrive at Leine's Lodge in Chippewa and go on the very cool tour which comes with a few samples at the end (we have reservations under the name NSSC)
*about 1pm -drive to Eau Claire have lunch and show off our cars on old Hwy 53 at McDonalds and/or Chicken Unlimited.
*about 2 or 2:30 go to Mt. Simon Park lower pavilions where we can display our cars and watch the blue angels fly overhead. This park has sand volleyball (I can bring my VB) and public restrooms. It is a nice little park on Dells Pond. The blue angels fly over the park very frequently because they use Mt. Simon as a marker for some of their flight choreography. I should be able to arrange for delivery of a cooler with water, beer and soda and maybe some snackies and/or dessert for us at the park... (I grew up here- Mt. Simon ).
Anyone who wants to attend the actual air show can break off the group anytime.
Pat & Cheri will try to make it, We have to make a trip to the cabin this weekend to turn off the water and take the boat home, we plan on return Saturday.
Cheri is still up for a wine tour run and keeps asking when we the NSSC is going to do one.
