Just wanted to let everybody know that as BLKGXP and I were talking we are want to make this a more leisurely run. Not to say that we won't take the twisties with some gusto but it is a foliage trip and we need to see the scenery.
Hopefully the timing will be perfect

I drove the rest of the route this morning to make sure it's all good. I made a few minor updates to the maps, and updated the links here. It should need no further changes, so anyone that would like to print it can now do so. I will have it printed out on the day of the run if anyone needs it. I will also have it downloaded onto my Garmin GPS from Mapsource. If anyone has a garmin that can take advantage of this feature, (NUVI 700 series or higher), I can send it to you. I love discovering new roads. It's even more fun Sharing them.

Hey, a lot of nice country there - I know, I used to live on that lake between 21 and BB. My brother and I drove his Model A all over those roads; many were dirt/gravel back then (40+ years ago).
Do you mean Lake Tishomingo? I'm a little further north near 141. After scouting a lot of the area for this run, rest assured some of those roads are still gravel, but not many.

Yep, Tishomingo, about half way in on the south side. Used to take a boat to the school bus stop. Back then, few of the roads were paved, and just barely! Everyone kept something to remove tar and gravel from their fenders, if they cared. 'Good old days'!
As far as the speed goes, yeah, most of those folks won't understand a group of cars high-tailin' it, and call the sheriff!

Joh you picked out a great route and the weather was perfect for the pre run. The foliage should be perfect by Oct 12th. And Jill's was a nice place for everybody to relax afterwards. This will be a fun run.

Nice shots. When I was in high school, my brother and I drove our Model A Ford (and other cars) through that covered on a regular basis. On Halloween, many pranks were played there on unsuspecting drivers - including aluminum foil stretched at headlight level across one entrance. It'll be nice to see it again.

If anyone else would like to join us, Please post here. I will need to give the restaurant an approximate count soon, so they'll be able to keep us all together. They have plenty of room for all we can get together. You can also PM me or RMFNSKY, if you need our cell ph #s
