Sounds terrific! I'll get it on the calendar over the weekend, and send it out in our news letter so folks will know about it.

It should be a bit cooler than last time, and it's a wonderful road!

The only day I can make it, Deep, is the 27th of Sept.

I can also go on Mondays, and Wensdays, but I didn't think those would be good days for other people.

Ok, I think I can make this one.
Can you post again the exact meeting place, time, and other itineray items. I tried to look through all the posts but there is five pages and they are blended with your first run.

How long will the drive last?

etc.
Thanks

Will drive twisties for cash...

You all have no idea how bad I feel that I keep having to stay home from these awesome runs . As soon as I have a few extra bucks, I will be going to every event humanly possible .

What I would like to know is this ....

I figure we have 2 ways to do this one...

If we just go from Ojai up to Lockwood Valley Rd and back, it's 75 miles total.

If we take in the "Pine Mountain Club Loop: that would add another 86 miles to it.

Let me know which way you all want to do it.

I agree. I think this is supposed to be next weekend. Updated FAQ would be appreciated. I'm in, I just don't know for what or for how long.

Here is some of the info...

It's looking pretty good for Saturday, 9/27/08

I drove the whole 156 mile loop in about 3 and a half hours, non stop.
I don't recommend that for a group though.... it was WAY too hot.

I suggest we stop somewhere for lunch, and or a place or two for at least some shade/liquids.

One place is the Pine Mountain Club "downtown area". They have a couple of small resturants, and one taveren. Real nice place.

Another place is the "Deer Lodge" in Ojai. It's right near the start/finish of the Dragon, and is a really nice place. Here is the URL for it's web site...
Welcome to The Ojai Deer Lodge Restaurant

As far as the meeting place and time goes...

I suggest we meet around 11 AM, at the
California Dragon Tail Meeting Place <--- Link to map.

AKA, Ojai Shopping Center, (there is a Vons there).

Let me know if you want/need any other informatio.

Also, if anyone wants it, I can give ya GPS locations for these areas.

I hope this helps you all decide, and ...

I'll be waiting...TOPLESS

I plan on making this run also. Maybe Sal and I can run down together, and anyone else that would like to join in from up this way.

Bob, according to my calculations, those GPS coordinates will take you to the Northern section of the the Ca Dragon Tail.

For the meeting place try theses coordinates, 34°26'29.39"N, 119°15'42.13"W.

It's in a shopping center parking lot, with a Vons, where CA Hwy 150, and 33 N, meet.

11 AM sounds good to me, though.

Dirty Car? Yours or mine?
