Potential Photo Shoot [San Francisco, Sunday in mid-January (13th or 20th)]
There's a post by Sonia (SXY SKY) in the Sky forum that is trying to guage interest in possibly getting a photo shoot done possibly at Lombard St. (the crookedest street in the world) for as many Kappa vehicles as possible. If your interested and your in the area, please post here or at the SKY forum link here:
Hopefully, we'll be able to coordinate something with the city officials and mother nature to be good to us that day. Great way to meet your fellow Kappa owner and be a part of something that could be very interesting to say the least. Hope you can join us.

It almost sounds like a movie title. Can you imagine Sols and Sky's crawling up and down the hills in the city. For the people that were at the Yosemite run , Probably 1000 times the attention factor. Very Cool. I get more excited just think about it. Sonia, very excellent idea. ED [Go Thunda]

That section of Lombard street won't be able to hold you all!
AWEsome idea, can't wait for the photos!
And gothunda, your avatar is TOTALLY. WOW.

I have started inquiries with the SF Film Commission, and have a call into the Police Sargent who oversees such events. It will cost us some dollars and the actual cost will be calculated once I know how many folks would participate.
So, if you think this is something you'd like to do...let me know which Sunday in mid-January (13th or 20th) works for you and I will take it from there!
Of course, this won't be our only photo op...but it is the one that will cause the most disruption in a neighborhood...we'll work out the rest of the itinerary later!
Sonia
Thanks to all of you who have already replied that you want to be part of what promises to be a very exciting day! I don't know what time we will need to meet Sargent Carrington and his men. In my mind I am thinking the earlier the better (less City traffic and less interruption to the folks who live on Lombard Street)!
It dawned on me that perhaps some of you coming from a distance away may want to come down on Saturday. With that in mind I am checking with the Hilton Garden Hotel on Powell Street in Emeryviille to see if we can get a group discounted rate for the night of Saturday the 12th; and if enough folks are coming down perhaps we "locals" can meet those of you staying at the Hilton for dinner Saturday night! But I digress...
Whether or not folks decide to stay there I am suggesting that location as our meeting location before heading over to meet Sargent Carrington and his officers on Lombard Street. The Hilton parking lot is large enough to accommodate all of us and its proximity and easy access to the Bay Bridge should work perfectly.
So watch for more info as it becomes available...and if you haven't already let me know you will be participating please do so before December 30th. I have to sign the contract with The Film Commission and they need to know how many cars we will have.
Also, our "staging area" once we are in San Francisco will be determined by how many cars will be participating.
This sounds like it is turning out to be a great event! Irene and I will probably be interested in staying at the Hilton Saturday night, sure would save us getting up way too early for this old fart. And dinner that evening sounds great!
2cents---Do this on the 13th of Jan. "08" And make the 12th the MONTHLY DINNER/ Ride-Photo-shoot on Sunday
