California Dreamin, I'm the one you PAY, for good weather. Please PM address so I can send you the bill. Most be payed 11 days before Meet/Photo-shoot, or rain or shin it will rain on your car all day.

We did photo shoot on Lombard St for 1/2 an hour. And All 14 cars fit, I was the 14th car. We did it at 7:30 AM with no help from Police or anyone else for that matter. If the price gets to high we might just want to go EARLIER.

I've updated the list to reflect the most recent e-mails I've received. This will be great fun and I am hoping that we "locals" can get together on Saturday night and meet up with the folks for dinner who are driving in on Saturday.

It wasn't me that said that, If anyone asks
.
Thanks for that info...if you have a pic you can post of the event you mention it would be great to see it and know what to expect.
I'd like to play by the SF Film Commission rules - besides it may take us longer than 30 minutes (we've got 18 cars expressing an interest and still time for more to sign up) and having the "police escort" for traffic control will be to our benefit.
The more cars, the less each will pay to participate

Don't hold your breath. I may not be walking down Lombard Street any time soon. The timing just couldn't be worse for a Frisco bash!!! You see, I don't live there anymore. I live about 150 miles north east in the small town of Yuba City, California -- about an hour north of urban Sacramento. Between moving, furniture deliveries, cable hookups and work, work, work, I'm not going to have time for much of anything. Well... at least my car wont be missed because I STILL don't own one!

You know now days you really don't have to order a Sol, they are on the lots now.....not like the olden days.....
Gizmo, if you do talk to Jimbo, please let him know it would be great seeing him again!

I've been incommunicado. I tired of both the bay area and my construction job and took a new job in Yuba City, about an hour north of Sacramento.
My life is still a bit up in the air. The Cable company and screwed up my install last weekend, so I haven't had internet access for about 2 weeks. They are supposed to hook me up tomorrow. So that explains why I have been out of the loop lately.
As for the San Francisco meet, it is the perfect event at the worst possible time for me. After living in the bay area since 1995, NOW y'all decide to hold an event in San Francisco!!!
I can't see making it. It is not the 150-mile drive so much as the new job. I won't count myself out of the San Francisco event, but it SURE would have been nice if SOMEBODY had planned the meet for, oh, any time in the last THREE years or so.
Anyway, thanks to Gizmo (thanks Norm! ) I got this thread, because I have been out of touch and frenzied with all of the work related to moving and starting a new job. I'm still doing engineering for the State of California with Caltrans (the Highway Department), but have to put in some long hours to learn the job as well as take home my reading to get up to speed on the new job. Learning is fun and I'm looking forward to learning the new job, but I can't say I'll have any time to run back to San Francisco for the group.
Again, I can't rule it out as I have some cleaning, and furniture and miscellaneous junk to go back and get at the old place in San Francisco. Maybe I can piggyback that work on the meet weekend, but that is asking a lot at this point. We'll see.
If I don't make it, I hope you all have a great time in my old 'hood.

My name is Mary, I am going to be the Photographer shooting pictures of everybody when they come down Lombard St. Since my parents are Saturn Sky owners, they asked me to tag along on the run to SF to photograph (Go thunda! Ed and Barb).
Well I did a little research, I looked up the address of the buildings at the bottom of Lombard Street to see if there was a way to go on the roof. All of the Buildings are Private homes, and I don't think that they are going to want someone on there roof. Or they are going to want to be payed.
I think the best thing and the most affordable is to take them from the corner of the street on a ladder. I have attached a view of the angle I would take the photos at. You can see clear to the top of the street. I would take pictures of each person when they get to the bottom of Lombard. I think this is going to be the best idea.
If everybody would like a photo, I will go and pick out the best photo of each car at the bottom of Lombard Street. Then I will print a photo of each car and mail it to them. The photos will be 8x10's (matte finish). The price will be $20.00 (that includes photo shoot, travel, processing, shipping and taxes) for each car. If you would like an 8x10 and a CD of the run, it will be $25.
Please let me know if this sounds good. I will have to make up an order form and receive addresses from everybody.

I've updated the list - we've lost EbonySky - they have a conflict...but we've picked up a few more participants.
Feel free to fill in the question marks.

Hello Everybody,
My name is Mary, I am the daughter of the "Go Thunda" Car owners Ed and Barb. My mom informed me that you needed a photographer for the upcoming Lombard Street run. I am available and would love to do it.
