SF Bay Area Owners?

Hey everybody,

Just bought my Solstice.

I looked around for a while and there doesn't seem to be much activity amongst bay-area owners. Is anybody out there? Would be good to get some tips on where to drive, get together and check out mods etc.

I live in Mountain View.

Welcome, Mike...check out West Coast Kappa Car Club (Solstice, Sky, Opel GT)

Inexpensive to join, and a nice group of folks. Which reminds me...I gotta pay my dues. The "WCKCC" events are often posted/discussed on this forum.

There's a ride or more a month plus or minus depending on the season. Feel free to send me a private message if you need more info.

There's an upcoming car show/meet on May 30th, Saturday in Napa. The sky crew are going to be attending and participating. If I can break free from my schedule and get a babysitter, I'll try to attend as well. Here's the link:

Hey Mike, Welcome!

If you are like me, you are going to love your car. I bought mine in Sept of 2005 and finally got it in Feb of 2006....I haven't stopped enjoying driving it yet.

Any way, like Rudy and Solace mentioned, you may want to check out the West Coast Kappa Car Club. I have been a member since its inception back in Nov 2005. We do have a great group of people.

If you haven't been up to Skyline Drive to Highway 9 (Big Basin Way) west to Highway 1, I would definitely take some time and make the run. Then drive north up "1" to Half Moon Bay and across the mountain to get back home. Lots of places to stop for lunch along the way.

I got my driver's license while going to high school in Saratoga. I love the Santa Crus mountains because of the twisties. I am now in Woodland (near Sacramento)but get to the bay area every once in a while.

Keep a look out on this forum for future runs. Or if you think of a place you want to go with some company, you can always start a thread and see if any one bites.
