Well, for the third year in a row, we've celebrated Independence Day with a BBQ at the Drive-in.
The weather was perfect. Warm with a light breeze while we were munching on BBQ, then cooling off in the evening.
In our theater, the audio quality was top notch. In previous years, the signal strength has been a bit low, but this time, it was crystal clear, and the bass--well let's just say that the Explosions and ground shaking thuds were appropriately resonant.
We had 14 Kappas and two new members:
Lots of existing members:
- Crimson Avenger
- thatbob2
- pumpguy
- CADREAMIN
- JohnD
- SOLSTICE-D
- FakeBil
And a few guests:
- Farscape1
- several I didn't get to meet...

11 BBQ dinners were consumed, and some extra garlic bread was shared.
It was great getting into the theater early, though with the new management of the snack bar, it didn't open until they started letting the general public in. Sorry.

I tried to arrange it with the company that is now subcontracting the food concessions, but they didn't want to return my calls and emails. I'll talk to my contact at Mission Tiki, and we'll see if we can get that fixed for next time.
Again, it wasn't Gary Isham's (Road-Runner-1) MOJO BBQ sauce, but they were a close second! They were MUCH better than the usual Drive-in fare.
Bob (thatbob2) was right... YUM!
It was great seeing everyone again, and I can't wait for our July 18 event...
Oh, and of course, the world was saved...

On screen, that is...
