Yosemite

It was nice meeting you. My husband and I were getting ready to turn around and see why you had pulled over, by the time we found a place you were back on the road. Hope to see you on a future run. I agree I can never get enough of Yosemite, it just was not the best time of year for a car run, with all of the other tourists it was hard to keep our little group together. Barb

Thank you all for the GREAT pictures.

I am really disappointed I had to cancel at the last minute.
There was a minor complication so they had to delay my Dad's heart valve replacement until Monday the 12th. I was glad I went down to stay with him this past week even though I missed Yosemite. We had some good quality time together. On my way back down Sunday for another week.
Family first!

Someday you are going to remember and value moments like that a lot more than just another road trip. Someday you'll be really glad you missed the Yosemite trip this year.

Nice meeting you as well. I noticed how you had pulled up to check on me. Thank you. That was very nice.

I can't imagine what everybody thought of me when I spun the white car around in Oakdale and joined the group unexpectedly. I didn't think I would be able to rent the Solstice from AVIS on no-notice, so I wasn't comfortable posting that I had a tiny chance to join your group. It was all very last minute. And well worth it. A very nice relaxing trip, but I could have used a few more days bathing in the majesty of Yosemite.

I have to admit that on these runs, you do so much driving, there really isn't time to get to know anybody.

Yosemite & Hetch Hetchy

Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy were great. I put together a proof sheet of our day and thought I would post it here to share. Barb

Ok so I am a bit confused. How do you post pictures over here on the Sol Forum. It is a little different than the sky forum. So I just added the link if you want to click over to see my picture I made. Barb

I HEARD that!!!!

Thanks, jimbo, you DO know how I feel about the mountains.

And my condolences to Sal as well, for missing the trip. But as jimbo said, you will greatly value the time you spent with your dad. I wish the best for him.

Seeing these photos is really inspiring. Well done, everyone!

Hi Norm,

Yes, I know how you feel about the mountains. Yosemite is my favorite place in the world. I believe Lake Tahoe is your Favorite, with Yosemite a close second, but I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Hey, did you hear about Lake Tahoe. Get this, the website TripAdvisor...

Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor

has rated Lake Tahoe as the #1 travel destination in the USA and #10 IN THE WORLD! We're talking Paris, Rome, Sydney, on and on... and they think Lake Tahoe is in the worlds 10 best travel destinations. High praise indeed!!!

I never would have guessed that anyone would put Lake Tahoe in the top 10 in the world. I'm sure you would agree with that ranking, however.

Hey, I thought people who drive Solstices don't NEED a Psychiatrist. That is therapy enough.
