Won't you be jealous when I pick it for my relocation
But, if you can drive it blindfolded, you're gutsy - we saw dozens of deer, and they liked crossing the roads.
So, is it such a big tourist attraction solely because it's the entry point to the Rocky Mountain National Park, or is there more too it than that?

Estes Park is also my favorite vacation destination. I've been there probably 15 times since I was a kid. Breathtaking scenery everywhere you look. Definitely the place for top down motoring!

That's pretty much it's main draw-winter skiing was eliminated years ago, if you drive Trail Ridge Rd, you'll pass the bottom of the sky hill, and a few years back the old lifts up top were finally removed too.
Just head into Rocky about dusk, park in the Horseshoe Park area, and listen to the elk bugle...it doesn't get any better than that!! Elk are pretty much a common commodity now, years ago we would go sit and wait, at dusk, hoping to spot one...now you're gonna trip over them everywhere, including the golf course in town!

Ok. I know I passed through there on my way in/out of RMNP. Just can't tell the difference, but the photo sequence puts me somewhere in the ball park.
How many towns are there between Boulder and Estes Park?

Third pic is Longs Peak just out of the pic to the left, Mt Meeker, and Flattop Mtn going left to right-all in Rocky
