Took a journey North yesterday on the coolest day this month. Was forced to drive Push Mountain (341) as part of the trip.

Checked out both the Norfork Dam and Buffalo Point picnic (lunch) areas. Norfork’s, both above and below the dam have Restrooms, but the lower one has picnic tables and tons of parking. The Buffalo Point area is near the water, has Restrooms but the parking could be a problem because of day camper usage. My vote is for the Norfork area below the dam. Of course folks might want to drive to the top to check out the view using the ‘mini’ hill climb road up.

I stopped and checked at several places about feeding us in a timely manner. Not too many choices in the area, however the SUBWAY in Marshall is located in the same Sinclair Fuel/Bio stop we have used in the past. They would be more than happy to make our sandwiches and you can pay for them ahead of time with CC. Their phone number is 870/448-3854. Contact either Elyse or Christina. If Subway isn’t for you, there is a SONIC located next to the Sinclair that should be able to cough some fine vittles up quickly.

Sixty days and counting

Steve

Here's my pictures. It was a great run. I think Saturday outdid Kerrville for sustained adrenalin pumping curves!

Great Pictures! Makes me home sick. Another good ride is the "Pig Trail". Take Hwy 23 North from Ozark, AR
